Sept. 2024

This game is a near perfect combination of corny, unique, and interesting. It honestly surprised me with the music, as it managed to make songs with lyrics that weren't grading like most games that attempt it. A few actually got stuck in my head until the next track (which also got stuck in my head). It's also a great game for all ages, as it manages to be easy enough for kids while capturing older players' attention with other things (unique boss patterns, clever little metaphors, art direction, the music again, etc.) and the puzzles are also a decent level of difficult. It has a few bugs here and there, but nothing game breaking. I honestly didn't expect much going in, and I waited to buy it until it went on sale, but it definitely had a lot of things I don't see often in games. Short but sweet.

to be honest i didn't think that i will like this game but when i played it i totally had good time. really enjoying feels very different from the other games. it contains the Arabic language which is a beautiful thing. really good game (:

Just as good as the first game. This one feels somewhat less monotonous and lengthy, which is a good thing, since it provides a faster storyline, but the game also feels too linear as a whole, unfortunately. The new mechanics now replace the wider range of "bioms" and the new characters now replace the variety of villains from the original game — sounds like a fair trade to me. And, of course, lots and lots of puns and references to various types of media and whatnot — love to see it, always a welcome thing! Oh, and the soundtrack! Yes, it is great once again. Like, come on, how often do you hear BLASTBEATS in a cute-looking game like that!? Absolutely brilliant. Unexpected — and brilliant.

Since I got Figment 1 for free, I really felt like I had to give the developers some money (the first Figment was awesome). Figment 2 deserves so much love. It is a little bit more buggy than the first game, I had to reload 2 times. It is also more liniar, which suits me personally (i do not like "metroid like" go back and figure stuff out). Because of this, it is considerably shorter, which I did not mind because it felt perfectly paced. Overall I was very pleasently surprised again and even shed a few tears. I was worried that the theme of Figment 2 wouldn't be as engaging as the first one's, but the devs managed to talk about a beauty of human expirience in a digestible and wonderful new way. I am really grateful to have found this series because it speaks to me. The music is fenomenal, my favourite song is the one by the choir of discarded thoughts. - it warmed my heart <3

I didn't like the first game, so I didn't have much expectations for this, but I can say that this is much better than the first. Much better combat, much better music, much better fun.
