Fight'N Rage delivers brutal old-school beat 'em up action. Solo runs feel punishing with relentless mobs and screen-crushing bosses, yet overcoming its challenges through pattern mastery proves intensely satisfying. Gorgeous pixel art elevates the carnage!

This game is fantastic, and I feel compelled to write a positive review to try and counter the recent negative reviews it's getting from Souls/Modern-Action-Games brain-rotted folks. One reviewer said, "You have infinite continues, so what's the point?" The point is that even beginners, and someone as bad at the game as you (and me), can practice and enjoy the game without having to restart from the beginning every single time. It's not like you have to continue anyways—you literally have the option to let the countdown reach zero, and it's game over. Another one talked about how "repetitive" the enemies are. Mind you, the game has like 20 different enemy types, and that's plenty for a short arcade game. This critique doesn't take into account that these enemies aren't just thrown at you randomly in random stages. In every encounter, you're facing different combinations of these enemies, mostly in different environmental conditions. I get the feeling that if the developer copied and pasted the same enemy 20 times with different skins, the same guy wouldn't have this critique because, unfortunately, "more is better" these days. What's more mind-boggling, and ties into my previous point, is the "critique" of the game's length. Does everything need to be a bloated, open-world, collectibles-ridden mess? You're supposed to be able to finish it in one session if you're good enough (two hours max, which is longer than average for this type of game). Also, this game is only "short" by the narrow-minded definition of the word. With the multiple characters, modes, routes, and the fact that you're supposed to at least CC it once, this game has incredible replay value, especially for that price tag. But hold on, this last one is great. One guy is critiquing how the attacks have very short range and there's not enough i-frames for the parry. What's the matter? Afraid you're gonna have to actually think carefully about your positioning and practice your parries instead of immediately getting the timing right and trivializing most powerful enemies? And I'm not even gonna talk about the Chinese dude who, instead of supporting the game made by two passionate guys and asking nicely for a localization, went ahead and gave it a negative review. That'll convince them. I'm not saying the game is perfect (it's pretty damn close, though), but these critiques seem to stem from weird expectations some people have of a beat 'em up. So, you can safely ignore them if you're looking for a great arcade beat 'em up.

Whether you're a bit nostalgic or just curious about the beat'em up genre, get this one. To keep it short, you'll find a lot of fun (unwind with easy combos or show off your black belt), replayability (choices, endings, unlocks, game modes), and ooh, great music!

Big recommend, you can tell whoever made this really knows their stuff with beat em ups, and also is into fighting games. System is so open and fun to play in. I like this game better than streets of rage 4.
