This is an excellent simulation game and it performs well on my PC, but I did have to play around with settings in-game and in the NVIDIA control panel to get the balance of clarity, fps, and quality with which I was happy. I was hesitant to purchase it at first because I read forum posts dismissing it harshly, typically on the basis of performance. Performance has been excellent for me. Do note that I have only played the game since the UE5 update, I have a more recent model gaming PC, and I am good with figuring out optimal settings. The graphics are higher quality, more like Train Sim World 4/5 than Euro Truck Sim/ATS. Fernbus performs significantly better for me than Train Sim World 5. Train sims with a 1:1 route scale are known for being highly demanding on PCs, so for Fernbus Simulator to use a 1:5 scale and high end graphics means it won't run well on many folks' hardware. I love all the aforementioned games (I've played ETS the most), but I don't think it's reasonable to expect the same performance between them without having quite strong hardware and being willing to configure your PC, GPU, and in-game settings. The gameplay is delightfully self-directed and sandbox; it lends itself well to creative solo roleplaying and setting one's own goals. It is well worth your time if you enjoy driving simulation games in European settings and have a powerful enough PC.

It's a brilliant game; so much to do! There are so many different DLCs which means you can drive so many different coaches. The DLCs also layer in to Tourist Bus Simulator so you effectively get 2 DLCs for the price of 1. I originally only had TBS and I bought 1 DLC. I bought Fernbus a few days ago while it was on sale and I enjoyed it so much I bought an additional 3 DLC; definitely worth it, especially since everything was still on sale. However, there 1 bus that has 3 slightly different variants and they are all sold differently at the normal price for a DLC! Not acceptable... anyway, 8/10 Gets laggy in some towns and also has a few bugs!

Amazing driving game - if you love any kind of driving, have a love for buses/coaches or just want to see Europe behind the screen, this is the game for you. I really love it and appreciate how detailed everything about this game is. It's constantly getting updated, you can drive simply with only a keyboard and mouse, and you can do whatever you want in the game! It is a must for automobile sim lovers.

Again a story about not believing in reviews written on Steam. Before I bought it, I read that the game is rubbish, poorly optimised and generally everything is bad. But let me start with the bad: optimisation. It's not there, it's just not there. Some things are not fixed for a very long time. A common example: Van Hool DLC released over half a year ago and has FPS issues. I have a question - why do all other buses work fine, but this particular brand does not? Because dev is not optimising the important things that make them money, even though they should pay their attention to that first. Quite a lot of paradoxical things happen with this simulator, but you can live with them, but in such examples it seems that dev has taken on a lot but can't even handle what it should. After the purchase I made conclusions: 1) Beautiful graphics. Although I have to say I don't like UE because of the blurring I personally see, but I was prepared since I have experience with ACC. There isn't as much movement speed here, so it wasn't a problem for me. 2) Quite decent optimisation for UE5(in genera! but bad at the little things.). Don't expect any miracles - this is UE with great graphics, it will never be something you can run this sim on an old PC. 3) Physics quite corresponds to the simulator - it's not RFactor2 and iRacing, just a casual sim about the bus, on it all. OMSI is better in this respect, but otherwise it's worse. 5) The buses are done perfectly 6) The menu interface is not very user friendly, in the bus itself is excellent 7) Graphics settings are many and they are quite variable 8) Sound settings are a lot, separately traffic, environment, separate sounds in the bus. I shake hands with the developer on this one - you're really better than most. 9) The engine sounds are beautiful. 10) The weather and changing seasons are awesome. Plus you can put your PC's time with one click - handy. 11) The controller setup is very awkward. There is not even a search for commands, you have to twist the mouse. 12) DLC price is fair. All simulators, and bus simulators even more so, are not sold in millions of copies so you dont can put a price of 2 dollars. 13) FFB is fine, but the customisation in the menu is terrible. 14) Yes, you'll need a steering wheel. You can play on a controller and even enjoy it, but it's definitely better with a steering wheel. 15) The countries in this game are very beautiful. Not without flaws, but very worthy. A special praise for Poland, it is very well done. Not all DLC is the same, some a little better, some a little worse because of little things. Hopefully Austria will be brought up to the level of the latest DLC. 16) Almost all of the buses you buy in Fernbus give you the option to use them in the Tourist Bus Simulator game 17) What I think is the most important - in this simulator is a pleasant atmosphere and just interesting to be in. There is nothing superfluous - creating a route and driving. I didn't have any prejudices, I just wanted to try bus rides and I didn't regret it. After a couple of hours I bought all the DLC and hope to have fun. I'm offended that people write bad reviews - this game doesn't deserve to be treated that way. Anyway, I can't be objective either - I really enjoyed the simulator. Make your own conclusions, just do not pay attention to the negativity that is written in reviews - usually it is not supported by anything. (Steam for some reason says the item was received for free, since I bought the Platinum Pack)

I purchased this game when it first came out and the frustration level experienced just trying to get the steering to work drove me to abandon all hope at that time. I revisited the game a few times over the following years and just couldn't get to a point where I found the game enjoyable for all its flaws. I recently tried again to see if the developers had finally gotten things ironed out and man was I amazed. What a difference only eight short years of development can make. Fernbus Simulator is now one of my favorite games. I look forward to a lot of hours of enjoyment in the future. I just added the Austria & Switzerland map, and the Scania Touring bus and I'm having a blast. Maybe eight years ago I wouldn't have recommended this game to anyone, but in 2024 I think it deserves two thumbs up!
