Such a simple, nostalgic game. Tired of the clutter of other ARPGs? This is the standard. The soundtrack is inferior to the original, but in almost every other way this is the best FATE game. Not many bugs, endless gear customization, and legitimately difficult to obtain endgame items. Even with cheats, Flawless Legendary items are almost impossible to come by. You could play this for hundreds of hours and still have things to do.

Unfortunately I was upgrading PCs when playing Fate 4 and I'm not sure what it is yet but it has left the game and the rest of the series unlaunchable. It seems on launch there is an error that stops the game before it has the chance to load in. All that said I figure until then I would review the 12 or so hours I have seen. Some of the pros to this one is a new start screen and new music. There are new item interfaces. New loading screens, monsters and most importantly a new world. I'm glad they didn't stick to the route they went with 2 and 3 it made 2 seem unnecessary. Some of the cons to this one are achievement glitches (which isn't a big one just tells you that you got the same achievement 3 times in a row. The pet has an issue going to town if you go down the stairs too soon even though the timer has started counting. Pet getting stuck on the environment when trying to be sent to town. They added locked chests you'll need keys for which can be found or bought. In a game where you clear a floor and don't return it doesn't make sense to slow down that progress with items you'll need to go to town to open or hope the appropriate amount of keys are on that floor for all chests. Also items that fall by locked chests become unobtainable by you or your pet for pick up. Items can glitch out of the boxes they're suppose to be in in your inventory but it does not stop you from correcting it or using those items. You have to relaunch the game from the menu to see a character named Awadji which starts the 2nd dungeon. Lastly the dungeon music is all too similar leaving not much to jam to or hum to. The Fate games are a treasure to the gaming industry and I recommend them to anyone looking for a good relaxing gaming experience where you'll be kicking monster butt deep within a dungeon with your loyal pet. Fate 1 is definitely the peak experience for this series but I would also recommend playing Traitors Soul and Cursed King (maybe just don't upgrade your PC mid playthrough).

This Game is just a better version of the previous three titles. The biggest changes include two new item slots earrings and cape other than that it's the same gameplay with a different story. You can hire mercs now but they are never needed with the proper build like this one https://youtu.be/8PNS9ao_L5c. I give it a solid 8/10 as far a dungeon crawlers go. It's a great game to play to pass some time.

a great example of a fun dungeon crawler. the graphics are a lot cleaner than the previous versions of the game. my one problem is that i cannot seem to connect to the online services? maybe they are not available anymore or maybe i am simply overlooking what i have to do, but as of writing this review i have failed to play online as the game suggests it allows you to do

Solid game, great adventure, and great basic controls. It doesn't really do a lot to improve on previous Fate games, just changes certain monsters. It can get tedious eventually, but it provides solid entertainment and surprises for quite a while.
