Diet Wangan Midnight/Maximum Tune I haven't played any titles from those yet so maybe the bar isn't set as high, but I had an alright time with this game. You get to go fast through some simple urban tracks with a very arcade-y car controller (so arcadey that I'm not sure racing lines really do anything, though you still want to hit the apex on your turns). 48 races that are each just different cuts of one of four looping routes or you can play a mode where you see how far you can make it around a loop before time runs out. There's a simple stat system that might make some races a bit too sweaty until you rank up a number of times, but it's not too bad. Overall a decent time, can't go wrong at the discounted price

Be aware that this game requires A LOT of tweaking to make the experience as best as possible. You might have to tweak your display settings and use some third party software. Depends on how good experience you want to have with the game and your personal preferences (and perhaps your system as well). BUT it's still one of the BEST arcade racing games on Steam, and as far as I know, the only ported racing game from an arcade machine, so it's definitely worth the hassle. The tracks are great (Japan and China highways) and have really good design. Driving is fun, car handling works well for this type of a game, drifting mechanics is really good and the music fits well into the fast paced racing action (the game overall have feel more like a Fast and Furious movie, than ordinary racing game). There is a story mode, online MP and some other modes as well. What can you possibly want more? If you want know more about tweaks for this game, feel free to contact me.
