Fun game to play over a few play sessions. The good parts are great. Awesome presentation and music, great humour. The gameplay is usually also great fun. The bad: - The game was added to humble bundle, but they didn't provide enough keys. In the first month they ran out, and as far as I can tell, never restocked. I emailed the devs and asked about it and they didn't help me either. As with another reviewer who had the same issue, I've effectively bought this game twice. Awful business practices from whoever is making these decisions, and was close to leaving a negative reviews regardless for this reason, but also appreciate the devs themselves probably weren't involved in this. - In the second half of the game it throws wave after wave of enemies at you, with no reliable way to dodge all of the various projectiles. This means that if you start the encounter without full health, you might have to die in order to try again at full health. A bit frustrating, but not a deal breaker given that health is generally quite generous. - The camera guy is OP as hell and frustrating to deal with. The game would be improved if this enemy was simply removed. - The final boss includes a vehicle segment which has the most unreliable jump button I've ever encountered in a video game. Again not a deal breaker, but worth flagging due to the sheer frustration this caused at the climax of the game.

It's one of those classic shooter games that nobody asked for, but needed to play! PROS: fun and imaginative twist on boomer shooter design; quirky and creative presentation; fast-paced; amazing selection of "weapons"; top tier humor CONS: some platforming was a pain in the ass CONCLUSION: All in all, Fashion Police Squad is a fairly humorous parody of internet and video game culture, wrapped up in an entertaining boomer shooter package. It confidently showcases smart game design knowledge with its sharp controls and engaging gameplay. You’ll chuckle at its dialogue, be thrilled with its gameplay, and take glee in fixing fashion errors that may cause you genuinely to roll your eyes in real life. Who’d have thought making your enemies stylish could be so much fun?

What an amazing idea! The fact that they took a pretty worn out idea, shooting demons, shooting aliens, shooting terrorist that recycles for 30 years and make a very funny and interesting spin makes this game stand out so much. The presentation is 11/10, so funny, so vivid, so full of personality, this game stands on its own, the graphics are an homage to very old 2D shooters with enemies having only the front sprite and turning towards the player at all times. The music is really good, very funky, very catchy and the sound is very crisp making you identify easily which enemy is attacking from where and what to do. I had an absolute blast with this game.
