UPDATE: The developers have now addressed the issue, released a hotfix, and communicated with the community. I am very happy to change my review to recommended. I follow and genuinely like the creator behind it, and the game has a lot of charm. The cozy farming/life sim concept, the art style, the atmosphere, and the overall idea made me want to support the project from the beginning. I originally left a negative review because of a serious bug that caused the blacksmith to disappear, blocking access to tool upgrades and preventing normal progression. This was not a minor visual issue or a small inconvenience. It affected one of the game’s core mechanics and could effectively softlock a player’s save. At the time, the situation was especially frustrating because several players had been reporting the same problem for months, and there had been very little clear communication about whether the bug was recognised or being fixed. However, the developers have now contacted the community, acknowledged the problem, apologised for the lack of communication, and released a hotfix addressing the issue. I am genuinely happy that they listened to the players and took action. Since the problem has now been addressed, I think it is only fair to update my review and recommend the game. Farlands is still in Early Access, so bugs and unfinished systems are understandable. I never expected the game to be perfect. What matters most is how serious problems are handled, especially when they affect core progression. I really appreciate that the developers ultimately responded, apologised, and worked to fix it. The game has a lovely atmosphere, a charming visual style, and a lot of potential to become a truly special farming and life simulation game. I am excited to continue playing and to see how it develops from here. I hope the team continues communicating openly with the community, because Farlands is a project that many players genuinely want to support. For now, I am very happy to change my review to recommended :)

Really impressive and wonderfull game <3 the space twist is pretty fun and interesting, the concept of multiple planets to explore is stunning and beautiful. The spritework? amazing The soundtrack? Delightful The gameplay? So good and enjoyable If you love Stardew valley and want something more, this is your game, i have been following this project since it started and the delevope team is full of wonderful people very responsible and full centered on their project, there's no bug or glitch that stand too long, they're always looking for the reports and try to fix it as soon as possible, you can't see this kind of commitment and love for a project so frequently, this game is make for people who love farm games by people who love farm games BUY IT NOW PLSPLSPLS

I've played for a bit to see if it was my cup of tea and I loved it, but since launch 1.0 is very soon, I will continue then :) My feeling as soon as I started was: "am I playing stardew valley in a no man sky universe? that's just amazing!". Let's see what happens later on, I have a very good feeling about this game.

This game could be fun. It has controller support and key binds. But you still need to use the mouse for reading and crafting. Even if the controller binds are the same as the Mouse and Keyboard keys. These STV type games, I prefer a controller. Grounded and Ark Survival Evolved type games I use the keyboard and mouse. I am keeping it in my library, just incase the Dev's update the controller support better.
