This game is fun and well done so far. The art style looks like if Borderlands and Minecraft had a baby. And yes, it's more on the tactical/hardcore side as opposed to just blazing around with an MG. (You could probably tell from the ripoff Tarkov font used for the game, where the one of the vowels has a silhouette in it) Yeah, it's an early access game, and yeah it has problems. I couldn't even play last time I tried to download (not my first time playing, was just checking in to see how the game had been coming along) which was frustrating. Sure, it's got bugs and lacks polish in a lot of ways. And you'd be right if you said you thought it seemed like a demake of the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. No one would begrudge you if you said the menus look like they were made in MS Paint. (My proof is that no one told the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R game that, either) But none of that has any sway on my opinion or decision to recommend this game. The reason is because even with all of the obvious 'inspirations' this game has at the in it's Early Access life, it has an IDENTITY, and will clearly grow up to be it's own game. That truth becomes more evident with each patch or content update. The 10/10 here is the ambient mood, or tone or feel or whatever word you want to use that makes me sound like I have an opinion worth listening to. When I move around in this game, away from the settlements and toward objectives, I get that feeling that funds the overused silhouette font. I'm alone. I'm less safe than I was back in that last settlement. I need my wits about me and I need to always be looking far out in front of me. I need to be aware of my surroundings. I even need to be wary of other human npcs. Not every game does this, honestly, not even in the survival and survival-adjacent genres. They claim to, or seem to intend to, but you'll still be able to easily and not cheezily become every enemy's worst fear and every non-combatant's hero. But even before it's a fully grown game, able to drive and mortgage a house and get married and have kids of it's own, Fargone manages to hit that mark it's setting out to hit. It didn't need a 1.0 release and a review-bombed backlash to get the right bearings. Will it stay that way? Lots of Early Access games that hit their intended feel early seem to patch themselves out of it before 1.0, at least that's what you'll hear people complain about all over Steam, Reddit and anywhere else we can complain about games. So far, it really seems that way. Every update seems to just strengthen the points I come to this game for. If you check out the Discord, which I recommend doing for most Early Access games that you think might be worth your time, you'll find a small but growing fanbase of users that seem to feel like I do; that is to say, they seem to love the game and can't wait to see more of it. Lots of Early Access games aren't worth your time until 1.0. I don't think that's the case here. Just watch the trailers, what you see on offer is what you get, there's no fluff there

A military/zombie combo shooter i purchased in jan 2024. I found it to be very interesting game with the usual developmental issues as with all games being developed. I had a few problems which i reported as bug & the developer responded right away & got to work on the issues & resolved them pretty quick. One issue was of my own making which i rebuilt elsewhere & is working fine. I have over 403 hrs played in the game & continue to play it on a regular basis. I believe it has great potential to be a great game when its completed in full. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys the normal zombie/shooter related game with some interesting twists.

Zombies are too scarce, crafting is non existant, deconstructing gear is incosistent, and what hurts the most is the map. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE IS MY CHAR FACING, so i have to walk for some time to see where i am going on the minimap. Single arrow showing where, on what side i am looking would suffice. Need to add abandoning quests, worked so hard with the Runners and now i got a contract to kill them. I realize it's a early stage and so on, but there is not much to do, which is bad because i really like the game. Also, bunkers are impossible maze with too few enemies. EDIT: Just buy Surroundead.

Game is promising with a nice atmosphere, good weapon handling, etc. However. In my short play through so far, I have found several bugs - some I would consider progression blockers. Ran Too Far Quest: Found the first two runner, but the quest objective points to an area where there is no third. Presumably (from what I have read) he is supposed to be there and I help him kill some guys at the church. But, no Runner there, no one at the church, etc. Stuck. **Edit - for the Developer: First thanks for the reply! To be clear, for the sake of troubleshooting, I found the first two bodies AND the note before the quest blocker I encountered. The waypoint is sending me to a pile of rocks along the path to the church which is visible just ahead. Then, run into a guy named Santiago, he doesn't appear hostile towards me, so I talk to him. He has a few dialogue options, but nothing noteworthy. I move on. Run into him again later and talk with him again - same option, but this time, after leaving the conversation, he one-taps in me in the back of the head. Re-spawn to find ALL my progress and items are reset - despite having selected the option to not drop items on death. As it stands, I would wait to purchase it. It could be a lot of fun once it has had some more development time, but it's just an exercise in frustration right now.
