I did not play this game right after finishing Far Cry 5. So, I don't have that feeling of comparing them. Commenting on this Far Cry® New Dawn as its own game, it can perfectly give you not only the traditional vibe of the Far Cry games., but also a new fresh air after Far Cry 5. If you are a big fan of the Far Cry games, have already finished all in the series, and have nothing to do after that (just like me), well, this could be used to kill time. It is kind of enjoyable, but I would say give it a shot ONLY with discounts. Well, the main content of this game is quite short. What keeps you in the game is the grinding system (or some may refer to the levelling system, whatever you want to call it). You need to kill a lot of people from each outpost over and over again to empower your characters, especially by upgrading your abilities as well as crafting various legendary weapons. If you hate this kind of system, well, you will hate this game. For me, I don't mind doing each task repetitively. It is good for killing the time.

After reading negative reviews for years on this game it deterred me from buying it. But i finally pulled the trigger and bought it. Honestly i have no idea what the negative reviewers are complaining about. The game is excellent and i'm enjoying it more then FC5. As a side note, FC blood dragon was also an excellent take on the franchise as is New Dawn. The graphics are excellent! The soundtrack is some of the best of any games and the stories and side missions are also top notch story telling.
