The game is good Got a bit bored of it tho i will for sure pick it back up in the future but the lack of achievements is not motivating me to play or 100% the game sadly (might be only me but without achievements it`s not the same vibe) P.S. i hate the fact that they force UbiConect down your throat

Expectations Lead to Disappointment Rating: 5/10 Far Cry 6 disappoints despite its ambitious setting. The revolution against Antón Castillo lacks originality, and Castillo , though charismatic, fails to match the complexity of past villains like Vaas from Far Cry 3 . Dani Rojas , the customizable protagonist, lacks depth, with a personal journey that feels disconnected from the story, despite their role as a guerrilla fighter. Far Cry 6 introduces Resolver weapons and unique ammo types, but both fall short, with limited impact on gameplay. Side missions quickly become repetitive, and base upgrades require too many resources, making them feel like a chore. I only focused on fast travel and barracks upgrades, ignoring the rest. On the plus side, the stunning graphics and beautifully rendered Yaran setting by Ubisoft are captivating, though overshadowed by the game’s other flaws. Despite its flaws, I still enjoyed parts of Far Cry 6 . The stunning visuals and occasional open-world thrills offered some fun, even if the game fell short of my expectations. I'll stop my rambling here.

I bought this game with a very steep discount and with low expectations. It's pretty fun but with some weird design choices. The things l liked: - the combat is mostly fun with some of the weapons being really great to use - however, some of the special weapons were too niche to equip since you would only use them every now and then, and they took up precious space in your limited loadout - exploring the world was fun and made easier with lots of travel options - good voice acting (mostly) - beautiful visuals and music - decent companions for loud and stealth - stealth was well done and I really enjoyed places that I could use it (including an overpowered build with a rifle that shoots through walls) The things I didn't like: - The clothing system is annoying as it replaces an actual skill tree. You can't unlock abilities, increase damage resistance etc. No, you need to equip clothing. Oh I'm a fighting a flamethrower - let me open a menu and put on different gloves. Now an enemy that poisons me? Ok, let me go back to my inventory and change my head gear. Oh, wait, stealth, let me change my pants. It's annoying, unimmersive and a waste of time - Limited loadouts meant that I didn't use most of the weapons and gear. Only 4 loadout slots with three weapons each? I never touched some items as I wasn't willing to use up a slot on gear I would only occasionally need but it would have been nice to have quick access to them in those niche moments. - Annoying characters. I understand that the player character is always going to seem more competent than everyone else and that you are always being sent out on errands. But many of the NPCs in this game are not just useless and incompetent but ungrateful and dismissive of the things you do to the point of being unlikeable. - Lots of bugs, including missions that don't finish, visual bugs and the usual Ubisoft jank. - The ending was stupid and made it feel like the whole game had been pointless. It sounds like I have a lot of complaints (and I do). But the gameplay loop of fighting enemies, exploring and trying out fun weapons like rocket launchers and bolt-throwing crossbows is super fun. However, I recommend buying it on sale and go in with low expectations for the story, characters and character progression. I also recommend using the Libertad mod which adds some nice QoL upgrades, including a better save system since the base game one is abysmal.

Here's the reality behind it. If you can get it on sale and stash it for a time of the year where you have nothing else to play its perfect. It's not the best far cry by any means but its still far cry. I had alot of fun playing thru this during summer down time. There's alot of moments where you can see where they cut corners but in the end if you payed 15 bucks for it you will get your moneys worth and you will enjoy it. 6/10 for a full price farcry game. 9/10 for a 15 dollar sale game.

Kinda want to give this one a meh ya know? I didn't love it but I didn't hate it. The Stranger Things mission was amaze balls but then most of the game feels very rinse and repeat and really hard to differentiate between this and any other game in the series. Maybe I'm just burnt out on Far Cry or maybe it's been too long since they've brought something fresh to the table. Honestly if they didn't cast Giancarlo Esposito I probably wouldn't have picked this one up. But hey don't let me decide for you, pick it up on sale and see what you think! I can almost guarantee you'll at least have a little fun, especially if you run that Stranger Things mission I mentioned!
