It is cheap. It has some fun moments. Nothing much. If you can get it on a sale, it is worth it. I paid like 5 bucks for the full game with DLC, so yeah, I would recommend it on a sale.

While this is a remake of the original game, I think it has done a great job on expanding and rewriting the original. I definitely liked this much better than the original Fairy Fencer F.

In general, a great classic JRPG. 8.5/10 [Pro 1: Storyline] [*] 3 unique endings [*] Somewhat complex story [*] Each ending unlocks different maps, characters, NPCs [*] Each ending has varying gameplay difficulty [*] Occasional humorous or breaking-the-fourth-wall style of writing [Pro 2: Great RPG elements] [*] Buffs are not just embedded in armor/accessories, and most buffs could be stacked (aka there are many ways to get buffs, I'll let you figure that out) [*] Max team size = 6, but - You have 11+ characters to choose from - Depending on the ending, you will be working with different allies [*] Lv100-ish is more than enough to clear the game - Level cap = Lv999, you can always power-level your way to 1-shoting everyone [*] RPG elements blend well with the story [Pro 3: Quality of Life] [*] Skip Button - Dialogues & Battle animations can be skipped [*] Save Points : plenty - Available everywhere: in dungeon/main menu [*] Game Difficulty : can be changed anytime [*] All allies (dead or alive, in combat or out of combat) will get XP! [*] Reduced grinding by using DLC [*] 100% achievement guides are available in multiple languages [Con 1: Each storyline is short] [*] The fun comes from you finishing all 3 endings. If you only choose to play 1 of them, that's around 6~7 hours of content at most [Con 2: Grinding/100% Achievement] [*] To get the "10k kills" achievement, there's no alternatives than hard grind, to a point where you may be able to get Lv999 even before getting "10k kills" [*] Without DLC, it's worse [Con 3: Some maps are annoying to traverse] [*] You know, the 10 switches-10 doors contraption bs costing plenty of time [*] Also, get a controller, using keyboard is no good [Con 4: It'd be better if you can set the combat voice volume] [Con 5: Occasional game crash if you open the game for too long]

A good rpg movable turn-base game with great story - with dungeon modes and battle modes.

It's lightweight, cute, and a little bit silly despite the darker aspect. Don't expect anything too deep, and you should be able to have fun. The game isn't hiding anything about what it is.
