I love cancels! I love improvising combo routes! If you played Sakuna you should absolutely grab this, Freesia plays like a simpler Sakuna, just without the Raiment! It's like a combo fidget toy, you improvise long combos on huge crowds of enemies, you cancel everything into everything. You're overpowered but not braindead, it's awesome

Short but sweet, a lovely surprise. The story isn't anything too grandiose, but it was really nice. The gameplay is a little stiff at times, but once you get into the right swing of things, it works incredibly well. It's a fun, small gem that everyone should give a chance to. Definitely didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. It's a bit old by now, but don't let that deter you! It's worth your time and worth its cost.

Beat em ups are relatives to fighting games, this would specifically be a relative to platform fighting games. You're in single screen levels, kinda old arcade game style too. You start off without special moves but learn them quickly throughout the levels, simple 4 directional inputs Smash style, but you can customize them. Some of them are really fun, getting Innocent Pendulum to hit a bunch of enemies at once while slamming one other enemy down is great. knocking an enemy into a row of enemies with the basic forward kick is great. The story is pretty short but there is an endurance mode. Has that real doujin spirit.

Graphics: 10/10 Gameplay: 10/10 Replayability: 10/10 Controls: 8/10 -------------------------------------------- This game is pretty fun and is probably the first ever time I actually enjoyed a 2D or 2.5D hack and slash as I have tried a few and they get boring but same can't be said here.

I find myself in the process of wrapping up some long-neglected games I once ardently acquired, fueled by the hope of experiencing them someday. Yet, here I am, at the close of 2023, realizing that the game Fairy Bloom Freesia was obtained back in 2015—an impressive journey through time. This particular game, despite its age, possesses an endearing charm. It offers a delightful blend of ka-pow ninja actions, placing you in control of the strongest yet cutest elves navigating rainforests to safeguard nature from golems, slugs, and slimes. The in-game dialogues and cutscenes, although consuming a significant portion of the storyline, tend to be mundane, allowing you to skip them and focus on training your fairy to unleash badass slashes and slams with fairy wheels. It's a thrilling, action-packed experience, akin to a roller coaster ride that satisfies the innate craving for excitement. By the journey's end, you'll develop a genuine affection for the fairy protagonist. Today, on December 26, 2023, I mark another victorious completion, with five more days to explore and conquer yet another petite game. Let's see what it is.
