It is simple: if you have the last game, there is no point in buying this. If you dont have the last game, it is worth it

I havnt played an F1 game since F1 2021. I only play the My Team career mode so cant really say much about the multiplayer side of the game. Its fun, I am enjoying it. If I could go back in time I would tell my self to play F1 2021 again and pretend its F1 2024 because I dont notice much differences beyond the grid being updated to match this years teams. Since I did buy it here I am playing it. I'm half way through my second season in My Team career mode and these are the things I wish they would improve with an update. 1. AI has yet to crash (30 50% races, 0 crashes) or show anything but perfect driving in broken up DRS trains. This is boring. Please make the AI a little less robotic. I want to see crashes, mistakes and something that makes me think im not driving against 1 AI driving all the cars. They all act the same. Nothing exciting happens so why even bother include a race replay. Watching ants is probably more exciting then rewatching one of these races. 2. My Manager really only says 2 things to me while im driving unless i ask for something specific - I'm having trouble reading your tire data (literally every single race my tire data sensor breaks?) - Now that you're behind the car in front of you you'll start to notice some understeer (he says this randomly. I could be 10 seconds behind the car in front of me or 2. He just says this 2-4 times a race) SAY SOMETHING ELSE or let me turn him off because if he tells me that one more time im going to beat him with his headset. 3. I used to enjoy the announcer at the beginning of every race giving us little nuggets of information about the race, race strategy, how teams are doing. Now every race the guy just says something about the track then says one of like 3 things so now I just skip the intro to races. Way to take the fun out of that.. 4. This last thing could just be me, maybe im a terrible driver in the wet. I normally play on 65-70 difficulty. But the AI is faster in the straights and the turns then me. So just generally unbeatable on every wet race. Like I said, maybe im just a terrible wet weather driver. Hard to say. I am enjoying the game but I cant really see my self playing much past this second season. Maybe F1 25 will be better or they will fix some of this in patching. If not I'll always have F1 2021 to go back to.

Look, I'm not a esports player or even someone who does multiplayer alot, I'm just a dude who likes F1. After playing Ye Olde F1 games in the late 90s and early 2000s, I got back into the CM/EA F1 series late last year with F1 23. I also drive Assetto Corsa and Automobilista 2 for reference. I enjoy the uber realism of those sims, but nothing makes me feel my love for F1 like the actual F1 games do. Just my two cents: Is it a HUGE content difference from F1 23? No, but neither is the real season considering none of the drivers changed out. Is it worth the price? Eh, maybe not, but I also can appreciate how expensive the licensing of the teams, tracks, drivers, sponsors, etc., must be so I'm not surprised. If that's not worth it too you and you want to stick with the older games, party on, Wayne. Does it handle different then F1 23? Oh goodness yes. It takes some hours to get used to. Does it feel worse? Honestly, for me, No. After two days of fast laps, practices, and one full grand prix, it feels intuitive and my times are faster. I feel like I'm able to drive the cars to the envelope more than I could in F1 23. I feel like I can push the car through looser chicanes more like I see on F1 TV. I feel like...speed (KACHOW, KACHOW). For what its worth, I use a low end wheel/pedal setup. The new career mode seems pretty good and what little I've dabbled with it, I like. If feels like playing F1 Manager but from the driver side. I personally haven't noticed any bugs, but I don't doubt they're there. Is the new handling realistic? Dude, I couldn't tell you. I've never driven anything faster than my Honda on a highway. I'm not someone trying to be a esports gamer or somone that wants to find meaning in life with a fast lap time. I'm just a guy that wants to feel like an F1 driver while playing this game. And you know what? I do. The one complaint I do have? The music. Last year's "soundtrack" list was WAAYYYY better. This year's songs are awfully annoying and I turned them off within minutes. The "theme" music is also bad, with Ian Livingstone's wonderful "F1 2012 Refuelled" replaced by forgettable electric music. Thankfully, Mr. Livingstone does have one song that plays in the career mode and it does its job. So if you want a good esports race game, is this it? Honestly, mate, couldn't tell you. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the esports content creators unless that's your thing because the way they mostly drive is for competition, not for immersion or even fun in a lot of cases (based on trying out their recommended settings previsouly in F1 23). Do you enjoy F1 in the real world and want a game that makes you feel a smidge a part of it? I think you'll like it.

I want to start by saying that because I have never driven an F1 car before, I can't claim that the handling is realistic. I'm 2.5k iRating in iRacing. My main game, or sim, is always iRacing. I'm going to compare some of its characteristics to iRacing's car. Noted that I'm on NO ASSIST. 1. Throttle: It is way easier than last year, and during the mid-corner and exit It feels like a Dallara F3 car in iRacing. 2. Brake: Brake is still a square brake trace, typical F1 game, ACC, etc.; I don't find myself modulating the brake depending on elevation change or camber at all. 3. Handling: Ah, the handling. I think it is all subjective. It is true, as most F1 YouTubers say, but you don't have to change the steering angle to cope with this. A real driver can drive any given car to them and take the car to the limit. I find it very cringe for those people to change the steering angle or whatever. Yes! The front-end is very sharp; this is similar to the FIA F4 in racing. 4. Weight Transfer: This almost non-exists in F1. Overall, an F1 game is still an F1 game. I find the handling challenging and could be fun at the same time. Some slow corners, like Jeddah, turn 1-2, or Monza, with enough brake pressure and trail braking, I find very fun. In Short: The car was reassembled. 1. Handling: F4 iRacing 2. Throttle: F3 iRacing 3. Brake: F1 Game and ACC I hope this help.
