Buy instead of F1 24. The full price is pretty much a scam though. Also beware that any older F1 titles get taken down from the store, so this too will probably eventually get removed and made impossible to buy, which is just sad because why can't we actively explore older eras of the sport and enjoy them?

This game was such an upgrade from F1 22 and also turned out to be miles better than F1 24. Anybody that's considering an upgrade from 21 or 22, do buy 23 but DO NOT BUY 24. F1 24 is NOT WORTH IT. EA AND CODEMASTERS ARE NOT FIT TO MAKE GAMES ANYMORE.

It is an F1 game. It looks great. The AI are great. Then you remember its an EA product. For some reason in a Formula 1 game, i can buy clothes.. chairs.. paintings.. hangouts.. supercars i can't drive.. my online car has upgrades, so you're not even competitive for a while until you unlock potential in your car. OH and my favorite part.. you collect stickers as achievements.. you know.. like when you were in middle school. Its a fun to play single player - offline driven career mode (two player career mode even), but anything online feels cheap, money grabby, and an in game currency that fights between your car and ...wardrobe? living room... stuff?... Just weird things to be putting in an F1 game.

9/10 Not a full-on sim game, but not super arcadey either (depending on your settings of course). This game strikes a great balance for a simcade racer. Physics feel great, game modes and extra features feel robust, VR support is the best in any racing game in my opinion (Assetto Corsa and iRacing are good, but they don't feel as polished), and online multiplayer is great as long as you're not playing with randos (the community is certainly much worse than AC or iRacing). My only complaint really is that the AI is ridiculously stupid and aggressive. Ocon and Russell are constantly T-boning me when I have the racing line. Even if I try to give them room, they'll come through with no regard for their life.
