The reviews are mixed because it was hard to play with multiple people before the update to v.2. The update came and made a world of difference for the better. I played it before the update and it was not my jam but after v.2 came out. Love it! The graphics are adorable and it is very beginner-friendly. I can see myself playing it for hours collecting all the add-ons. The wallet-friendly cost of the game is a bonus. Solo or with others this is a great addition to any gaming collection.

Awesome fun game. I was hesitant to check it out because of the reviews stating some odd design choices, but it turns out the devs have already addressed those issues with the latest patch. So yeah, this game is totally worth $6.

Ok I pull up Really fun little game. Can only speak for the single player at time of review but I like it a lot. Fun classes, cute capybara designs and solid survivors style gameplay.

If you like your roguelites and are looking for one with online co-op, this is a good one. Single player: I had quite the smooth experience, many of the negative reviews are for multiplayer issues (which I'll address later). On my first run, I managed to complete a run and get 12 achievements. All that from 33 minutes of gameplay. The enemies are quite balanced so you won't get too overwhelmed unless the Goddess of Luck decides to take a dump on your rolls (which does happen). Multiplayer: As of the date I posted this review, a patch was released to fix many of the multiplayer issues and while the experience isn't 100% solid, it IS smooth enough to play once you get going. Some issues my friend and I had were both of us having to reboot the game when invites didn't work, or the choice roll freezing on my screen while the gameplay continued on his. These were not enough to put us off, however. I saw some people complaining about only one person being able to select certain upgrades while the other has to choose from the remaining ones. Honestly, they're crying over nothing. First, you can wait for it to next pop up to choose it. Just communicate with your friends and plan out what you want. Second, it's part of the challenge. Complaining about that is the same as complaining about not having your hand held. One thing that can screw your roll over is if one person skips or rerolls, it does so for everyone. Again, communication solves this. Overall: Don't let the Mixed reviews throw you off. While many of them were justified at the time of review, note that the game released a month ago and the developer has been patching it. You can even press F8 ingame to report bugs, so it's not like the dev is one of those people who just pumps a game out for the cash and abandons it. Give it a chance and it will get better. Regardless of solo of multiplayer, it's an enjoyable experience.
