Exo One is...nothing but pure unadulterated art in game form. It's not the gameplay or the story or even the visuals, despite their awe inspiring beauty, that make you love the game. But Rather, it's the games bleeding, teary eyed, prideful soul. I nearly cried in the intro level, simply because on some level the game struck a chord at my very being. At the time of writing I am likely in one of the most trying and painful times of my life, and on a whim and a sale, I got Exo One, and I don't regret it for a moment. This game isn't long, or difficult, or complex, but it is worth your time if you're at a point in your life where a quiet, sombre game is enough for you. For the first time in a long time, I played a game with nothing but it's own audio, no background noise, no lights, just me, the game, in a dark room, alone together for two hours. It made me reflect on my life, let me think and in some way, I find that it's likely changed my life in some small, but important way. to any who are curious, I beg you, engage the game on it's own terms, and let you and it have a one on one session, no distractions. You'll coem out all the better for it. Exo One will go down in my list of games I play once or twice, but I'll remember forever. and to the devs, thank you. You've made art that could only have existed in game form.

I really like the idea and visuals of Exo One, but I think the execution might be a bit too sloppy to recommend it without clarification. When it works it's amazing, the speed and momentum is done really well and makes you feel amazing, and that's why I don't want to leave a bad recommendation. However, be wary that you're going to feel frustrated sometimes because of the level design, having lost speed without any way to quickly recover it or just the levels being too long without variance, and that's going to happen more than once or twice in a 3 hour game.

One of the most beautiful gaming experiences I've had. Major props to the developer on the gameplay mechanics tying into the alien nature of the whole experience. Very well executed. The levels are gorgeous as well as the sound. I would love a sequel so much. If not a sequel maybe add some more levels with replayability in mind.
