I played this game in 2022 for about 210 of my hours and then put it to the side until this week when I decided to get back into it. This truly is an excellent game - really scratches the factory itch. The only thing I would say about it is that it takes a little bit of learning to get started. Even though I had played so many hours before, I briefly suffered from the "blank page" block again and watched a YouTube video to re-familiarize myself. But, once you get started - there is no stopping! If you like factory games, get this game.

I thought long and hard about whether I should mark this as recommended or not. I believe I can recommend this game but with a few caveats: - The UI takes a lot of getting used to and even when you are it leaves a lot to be desired. Expect little to none of the quality of life features you might expect in 2025 - The graphics are pretty but the modelling can be a bit primitive. Not bad just a little unrefined. - The game is very bare-bones. You'd better love building your production lines because that's all you're going to be doing. No enemies, no wildlife, no weather. It's just you and the trees. - Overall building and especially deconstructing is a lot of manual work. No blueprints, no mass-deconstruct, no drones. If you want to move or reorganize your factory you'll have to take it apart block-by-block. There is a "zoop" function for placing lines or grids of blocks so at least building floor or uniform rows of machines is quick. That said what I love about the game: - A long tech tree to explore, from simple copper machines to neutronium with many in between steps - Every step of metal requires different processing steps. It's not just upgrading your furnace and now you can make steel. Every upgrade has a different production process. Some machines can be made only with certain materials, so it's not all just straight "levelling up" - What the game does it does well: tons and tons of machines to build and figure out. - Very little handholding and regularly multiple ways to achieve the same goals. Do you build a biofuel production plant to produce power, run a simple coal plant, or go with solar and batteries, or .. ? In short if you love figuring out production lines and not much else, this is the game for you. And the price is absolutely right for the amount of content this has.

This game is missing one important thing that really should be in the game as an automation game. A really important part of all games similar and they all have this feature except for Evospace. This feature is commonly known to the general public as Queuing Research. Otherwise it's a good game.

This is one of the best factory game I have had the privilege to play . I play it the way I want and have fun experimenting with different builds.

This game is in early development, and with the new update including tooltips and tutorials, it's a bit easier to jump in and learn. It's a beautiful game in terms of graphics, so your factories tend to look very realistic and current time period, rather than futuristic or old/ancient. I can't wait to see what the future has in store!!
