well I had fun playing this game for a bit, but I wish it let you create your own coffee more freely. While you can create your own, it would not sell if it does not meet the trend or what is popular at the stage. so you are kind of forced to create them in a certain way, since you need to make more money to keep up with the stage and unlock new features and stuff. that is my only complaint. r: thanks for the response :) I prefer career mode better usually, sandbox mode just ruins the whole experience of the game sometimes.

Hesitantly recommend. It's fun, but after the campaign, there just doesn't feel like there is much to do. Wish there was like a "build your own cafe from scratch" option instead of only having pre-built level templates on sandbox mode. The game takes alot of inspiration from the Sims (especially with the U.I. and the music). Just wish there was as much long-term playing content as those games. What I Like: - Customizable cafe name (yes, you can literally name it anything, no censoring, and it will show up on the top of the screen on your in-game menu). - Customizable font for your cafe name. - Making the drinks. >> You can make some absolutely ridiculous ones too. - You can literally name the drinks whatever you want. - The tutorials aren't annoying and are explained well. - Some of the maps are pretty cool looking. - The color palette of the game is very pretty (if you like earth tones, this is the game for you). What I Don't Like: - The voice acting is all A.I. generated for some reason, and it just doesn't sound natural. I would have rather had either no voice acting or just like simple voice sounds or something. - Can't create your own cafe from scratch. - The "trend" feature is really stupid, and changes way too fast. I ignored it throughout the campaign, there's too many other things to keep track of. - I wish you didn't have to order supplies at the beginning of every single level in the campaign. >> There needs to be some sort of auto-order feature as well. - I don't know why the game makes your employee come in before you open the cafe for the first time. They don't have any customers to serve, and they aren't doing anything else. It just doesn't make sense. - The design of the faces for the employees/people isn't good. - Can't change employee schedules while they are working. - Some items break down over time, but the rate that this happens is a bit ridiculous. - The game's attempts at humor aren't funny. - Not enough long term playability, at least for me. If more content is added, I can definitely see myself coming back to this more often.

Extremely mechanical indeed. Key is to find out which rules you should follow to succeed. Sandboxing is very punishing in the campaign, it's all too expensive. You can sell drinks with just minimal drops of the ingredients. As soon as the variable requirements are fulfilled, the customers will buy it. Giving names to coffees is funny, but you end up naming your drinks like Casual 1, Casual 2 need research, etc., so you have a bit of overview what to swap when trends change. Unfortunately the font has problems with umlauts, so it’s not tested for many european gamers. I started to ignore trends, the effort fine tuning the recipes wasn't worth it, most times ingredients were not researched. It is also strange that trends change so quickly. It is not a tycoon game I expected like rollercoaster tycoon, here your shop is trashed after every mission. Missions are short. Naming shop on every mission is repetitive. Money multiplier makes no sense, nobody spends 20.- for a coffee, but it’s a mechanic. Decoration music is played every time when the decoration menu is opened, which is annoying, it should just keep playing the coffee shop music. Inconsistent mission difficulty. I completed 2 missions in the middle of the 10 missions quite fast. It's sometimes easier to start a mission without the introduction, because the introduction may force you to make initial investments which can ruin you. Creating all the recipes after every mission, or on mission restart became a bit of a chore. I had fun overall, but I am also happy that it is over.

Been playing for a while on sandbox which I typically like to do with management games, and it feels like at a certain point your employee expenses start becoming way too much (they constantly want raises and training) and there are too few ways to increase revenue, even with marketing and efficiently creating drink recipes. There needs to be other ways of producing income to counter the growing expenses. Also, I wish the scope was just a tad bigger. I would like to own multiple shops and have a larger enterprise and/or be able to expand the size of the shop eventually. I recommend it because it is good enough if you enjoy the genre, and it will fulfill your desire to manage a coffee business in-game, but it could definitely use quality of life and scope improvements.
