Epistory is amazing. So fun, and helps you practice typing so as to improve your touch typing abilities and speed. I wish that there were more of these games. Outstanding!!!!!!!!!

This game is so fun and is absolutely gorgeous. The way the story is conveyed both fits the theme really well and feels extremely unobtrusive while playing. The sound design for everything was so pleasing. I also loved the fact that there's an option to use WASD or EFJI to move. While it was a lot harder since I'm not used to it, it made it much easier to switch to typing from movement, and it was amazing to me that the EFJI keys move you in diagonals to match the orientation of the map. I played it all day and did not get bored. In fact, if the game kept going, I probably would've played all night too. Only a couple frustrations. 1. The "instinct" skill, which is supposed to direct you on where to go next, doesn't always do that when you're on The Bridge. There are sometime a lot of places you could go, but it's annoying to me that everywhere else does a wonderful job of letting me feel like I'm free to roam while actually directing me along one specific path while there is chaos as soon as you get 3+ zones opened up 2. Movement on ice is the bane of my existence, but it's definitely an important aspect in some areas and their puzzles. I wouldn't want it totally gone, but man did it drive me nuts 3. The mine got me stuck for like an hour, and though that's mostly my fault I do wish there had been some direction or hints available. Complete a battle entering from the bottom of the map, how am I supposed to know that the top keeps going to an important area when it's pitch black and there's nothing up there to indicate that I should be going that way from the battle center? Everything else was amazing! I know they've released another similar game, and I am so excited to try that one too!

Absolutely wonderful game. If you're looking for a good typing game that'll challenge you, this is it. Beautiful art design and music. Story is incredible. Take the plunge, you'll be happy you did.

A fascinating tale of a girl and a fox, stranded in the middle of nowhere, typing out their own story... A really good take on a typing game, where you play as a female character atop a red fox, destroying bugs and items, finding chests, restoring the land and restoring memories. During your journey you find different powers, with which you can access different areas and tackle enemies with different strategies, with some great synergies between some of them. The controls are really good, until around the third area, where some angles of movement might be needed, but are not easy to get. The music is really good, it sets the mood for the occasion, and the ending piece is just so relaxing that it makes you feel good after completing the game. A few caveats, of course. The last achievements are a grind to get, but they give you an excuse to try out the arena mode of the game, which is just wave defense, with increasing difficulties. You also have to be perfect at typing for some achievements, and fast for a few others. There is a mod in the steam workshop for people who can't write quickly, or usually fat-finger their keyboard, so the achievements are not impossible, but still take a fair amount of time to get. Overall, I would give this game a 8/10, the story is quite good, the difficulty is mostly average, with some really challenging sections that require using specific elements, the music is good, controls are a bit iffy for certain sections, arena mode for extra time in the game, if you want to play something after campaign, but extremely grindy achievements.
