I had such a blast playing this game! It's cute, funny, with a cozy vibe but at the same time at a level of complexity and keeps you engaged. I am quite close to the endgame now and I feel sad it has to end.

Aside from how this game handles saving, this is a cooking game that tries it's hardest to not be a cooking game and more like a cartoon with ridiculous plots that work out in the end. The story is about verbal punching bag and only sane man Zest who "inherits" a haunted mansion and tries to make a living as a cook in the land of Concordia and its colorful and quite frankly concerning residents (seriously the first thing you see in town is a public fist fight). Then a golem crash lands in your pool to teach you how to plant potatoes and then taught how to cook by a weird knight riding a donkey who he insists is a pegasus (or was it a unicorn? I don't really know nor care). If you are wondering what kind of crack you just read, get used to it, cause it gets dumber and crazier by the second. The gameplay is a bit repetitive but it has it's own unique style on how you handle ingredients and the restaurant. The comedy gets better the deeper you get into the story such as trying to take down a giant screaming chicken while the dialogue feels like you can't go 5 minutes without something sounding like a conversation you would hear on Seinfeld; questioning random mundane things like the means behind an random statue while doing something completely unrelated. Also you get to hang out with Jesus. While I admit this game has it's flaws, it is a good game for those who enjoy comedy and it tends to go on very high discounts on occasion.

I think about this game often. It's fun, silly, let's you play around outside of the main storyline, and honestly is just a fun romp around a stupid world with very fun characters (and Jesus!) without taking itself too seriously. Team17 are definitely a great publisher, and this one is up there for me.

The game is just ok. I played for 3hrs and got bored. I liked that it's funny but it wasn't enough to keep grinding.

The game is fun but reminded that there is some problem with the achievement (add a little zest).
