There are lots of good and lots of bad. Pros: - The Gameplay is better - The Gun flight is amazing - Beefier gun sound - Enemies look so damn scary than the first one - There is a backtracking between floors which is great for survival horror (RE classic vibes) Cons - There are some stuck-in-narrow-space glitches (But you can shoot 2-3 bullets to push yourself out) - New way to open Inventory (From Mwheeldown > Press to open) which decreases Quality of life and some kind of clanky (Good concept to make the player more struggle only If the first game didn't have this system I would not complain at all) - The Dungeon crawler concept feels like Endopandamic mode from the first game (Enter > Push switch > move to the Next Level) and it's quite boring to play through each floor for 40 levels - No Hard mode (Too much Ammo and Healing item, I have like 10 of fountain pens drop on my elevator + 10 Adrenaline injectors) I'm going to leave the thumps up tho

This might look like a thumbs down for reasons that will be clear but I still highly recommend this game. It's genuinely good despite my grievances and I'm willing to cut indies slack for the time and money they don't have. But I'll get the good out of the way first: I really enjoyed the previous installment. It has all the makings of an experimental Nintendo DS game that time forgot, and as the game progressed forward all of it's rough edges were made more and more apparent. The sequel clearly paid attention to what worked and didn't and took what was a linear survival horror game and built it into essentially a semi "open world" adventure game. I'm a sicko and I personally miss the tedium of having to manually clear the used shells from my guns, but I can't deny the quality of life features and the reworked enemies vastly improved the pace and the action. The voice acting is stellar. I never go into indies with high expectations for voice acting. Time and resources are privilege that typically only money can buy, so I'm willing to let it slide in most cases as far as the little guys go. But both of these games exceeded my expectations. The voice actor for protagonist in particular deserves all the flowers. Sound design is also wonderful. Any good horror experience typically relies on good sound design. This game delivers. Enemies have unique and distinct sounds and can frequently be heard meandering in locations you're potentially dreading going into. The metal rafters have wonderful ambient sound. The lack of music until a tense moment like activating the berserker mode on every enemy on the floor does a wonderful job of surprising you. Nothing seems to overstay it's welcome. One criticism I have is very funny and, I suppose unfortunate consequence of the top down perspective. I couldn't parse with my headset if enemies were above or below me, only left or right. It's not a game that hinges too much on that information, but maybe it's worth addressing considering how much attention was put into improving the sequel. The controls and the UX are much better in comparison to the first game I played (and beat) the previous game at the smallest resolution to be merciful on my wrist. The fact that this game can be played at higher resolutions is thumbs up enough already but the controls are just better all around. I love having to cock the shotgun after firing it. Pulling the watch up to your face to check your map is a fantastic piece of diagetic UI design. The reworked inventory system is, I feel, a step in the right direction. But here's where my major criticism comes in. The loot and itemization is not fully there yet. GRAIN OF SALT. There are patches increasing the amount of loot you can find and craft with, so I'm not sure if it didn't fix my play through retroactively. But I approached looting and shooting much like I did in the previous game: I shot everything that moved before proceeding, and by the time I got to floor 23, I had essentially soft locked myself because ammo had become sparser and the new enemies that are introduced near that point (which I feel are VERY well designed) are more durable than previous enemies. I consider myself pretty good at video games and understanding their underlying mechanics. I'm also a lot of fun at parties. But looking back at my previous 22 floors, I can't seem to figure out what I misunderstood mechanically to have an elevator with dozens of fountain pens(crafting material) and no way to convert them into pistol or shotgun ammo. And unfortunately I can't sugar coat what my options are: run by every enemy until I have more crafting material, wait for a patch to retroactively fix this problem I've inadvertently found myself in, start over, or play something else. The fact of the matter is, despite the fact that other people have beaten this, for whatever reason I'm stuck and I just don't have the time to brute force my way through a brick wall. So, sadly, I'm choosing the last option and for the time being the game will be unbeaten and western civilization has fallen as we know it. Again, I'm very fun at parties. If the devs are read this I hope it doesn't ruffle your feathers too badly. It's still a wonderful game that I recommend in spite of my late game frustrations and I'm more happy with the 9 hours I've put in(so far). It still gets a glowing thumbs up and I'm really excited to see what you do next, because it's very clear you're willing and able to learn. As someone who misses when games were really weird and experimental, I still highly recommend this. If you go in with tempered expectations I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time.

I really enjoyed this game. It takes all the things that made the first game great and adds to them to make an even better experience. This definitely feels more like a survival horror, with me constantly debating if I should use my resources to make more ammo or if I should focus on healing items. In addition, the levels are non-linear in a way which encourages exploration while also still being directed enough that I was almost never stuck for a period of time long enough to be annoying. Another improvement is with the story, spoilers follow. In this game, it feels much better to play as Cynte. An issue I had with the first game was that I didn't like Cynte, and I didn't want to play as him. He felt cartoonishly evil with no redeeming qualities. This game actually makes him a far more complex character, us getting to see parts of him that might be relatable (his grappling with his own survival, his annoyance with the bourgeoisie, old man yaoi .) He's still not a good person, but he doesn't have to be because feels like a person, which is enough to make my time with him feel more worthwhile. My only gripe is that maybe there are too many resources, which is ironic as that is something that was patched with the game. Something I'd be interested in is a 'scarce mode', where there are less resources. This mostly comes from my experience with the game pre-patch. While it was sometimes frustrating, it ultimately made the situation feel more dire, making the game more intense (in a good way). It also encouraged using stealth to save your ammo when able, which I found extremely interesting and satisfying (if a bit difficult, as enemies almost always see you before you see them (which admittedly suits the current gameplay loop better.)) I don't mean to be nitpicky, I would just really like to see this as an addition. Overall, I would highly recommend this game, as it's fun, has a pretty good length, and is very much worth the price. I would also highly recommend the first Endoparatsic. I've followed both Endoparasitic 1 and this game from development to release, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with both of them.

this game is really good; however there is only 3 enemy types (unincluding the final boss) and 3 weapons total. but this doesn't hinder the game too much, as it's still good. endoparasitic spoiler: unlike endoparasitc, this one does NOT have some sort of crossbow, and i can see complaint about it. but i think it adds to the game and the management, and is more fun. the crafting system is simple, but it works just fine and is somewhat fun. i like the story so far as well, it's more indepth and fun to see. sorry about this yap session but i have more to say. i really enjoy that you're not shooting the legs of monsters. it didn't make much sense to me how in endoparasitic 1 you shot the monsters legs until they died. instead you can actually shoot the head of monsters in this game, making more sense and ALSO ALSO THE SOUNDTRACK IN THIS GAME IS SO GOOD WAHHHHHGIIUHTUIWH$!!! ok bye whoever reads this have a good day!! also i did not notice that when i first reviewed this i had played 6.9 hours it was NOT intentional i swear edit: i 100%ed the game and it was lovely. however, there are spoilers ahead, please only read if you've beaten the game and also gotten to floor 12 for all bio samples. the end bossfight is a little underwhelming, especially because you never see the actions of what cynte might do. did he get his limbs back? did he ever rescue karis or did he just die? i really enjoyed the story, and i died from the bossfight a few times, but it was pretty underwhelming, as said previously. anyway; for the creator of the game, Miziziziz, if you press continue after beating the game, luce's head comes back and she stares at you! i thought i'd mention this and hope that you could see this. i really enjoyed your game, and i hope many others will too!

Following Paragraph is my honest opinions about the game and its development: After finishing Endoparasitic 2 I have quite mixed feelings and thoughts about the sequel. I was following the development of this project practically for its entire growth and I have to say this has to be so far the biggest project so far. Its a shame I wasn't able to contribute with feedback and suggestions but otherwise I am happy with the result... however I do have some very critiques I need to mention AND I do hope that this time my feedback will be actually heard. Buggy release critique At the time of release the game had many small problems and annoyances that made it difficult not just for me but also many of other people who has seemed to be stuck with the same problems. I do understand that this came out from a bit of rushed release development and some features may be changed later. - The lobby audio intro looped after re-entering. - One of the logs were misplaced with the wrong dialog. - Lack of ammo balancing having to deal with trying to maneuver around most enemies making combat difficult to manage resources wise. Pros - Lots of content - overall there is a lot to do in this game making the game worth more than its price. - Fun and interactive mechanics involving the general level approach. - Rich ambiance and world building. - Simple yet gorgeous art style and direction with unique visuals and stylized atmosphere. - Upgraded class of voice actors and general game direction. - The potential for future updates as I assume :) Cons - Extremely high difficulty curve - The games difficulty is all over the place and for someone who has played the previous title I cannot imagine how painfully hard it has to been for those who just picked the game here. - Tight resources management - I found myself reloading a lot of saves because I was mostly trying to figure out a solution how to manage levels without killing enemies. - Anticlimactic ending - Spoiler free for what the game was building up with the games ending felt very rushed without a decent conclusion, I do hope that the future updates plan to fix this by adding at least one ending slide or something that made all that effort worth it. (I seemed to be only 0,1% who seemed to finished the game). - Exhausting game length - I understand I praised the game for its size but also I need to mention that for the amount of things to do in it takes waaaaaay to long to actually complete, not to mention that the last 4th of the games levels are extremely painfully difficult due to the introduction of a really REALLY annoying enemy. - Tedious inventory management - As Miziziziz mentioned in his dev logs the inventory management was kinda rough to figure out but I wish the games inventory had some "Sort" button that would organized every item in a specific row. THAT would really helped the hours I had to spend just managing it. I believe that literally 1/5th of the entire game I spend managing my inventory. + to mention I find it very difficult to try and reload weapons and generally interact with my inventory in middle of combat. I found it much easier where in the first game I could easily scroll up to open inventory. I get this game added a proper inventory system but ACCESSING it is what was made more difficult and tedious, a lot of my deaths in this game were as a result of this issue Summery As you can see there is a lot of good but also bad I found about Endoparasitic 2 but I ultimately had a great time playing it. My main critique is that this game was obviously rushed out way earlier than expected and because of that the game does feel very rough and unfinished at some parts (Especially the end) I do feel like Miziziziz is working his hardest to fix all the bugs and issues that the game currently has. Despite doing my best to reach out and gave my feedback as the game was at its early development phase I was mainly ignored despite helping to give some feedback earlier with the first game. I again don't really know how to reach out to him but I did my best and tried to help out with variety of suggestions and feedback's when the game was still being developed. I understand that its THEIR game and their work, their word of course but the fact I was practically ignored made me feel like I wasn't able to support Miziziziz's work much and that just made me sad. I do hope all this feedback will help to smooth out this game, and if you read this Miziziziz, I do hope I can reach out to you some day and maybe help out with your game too :) Few suggestions for future updates - Adding Rogue-like mode back - Add it back just remove the crafting part to allow faster and more polished experience. - Aim assist mode - Adding the small cursor or laser pointer would help a lot. - Sprinkle some extra content and upgrades in the game (Would be cool to have a "Armor" you could put on or perhaps a "tiny wheels" you could put under your body to make your body slippery and gave you more mobility as well having the ability to remove them too) - Better feedback system - Simply put, fan feedback is what helps to direct the games the right way, I which I had the ability to reach out better to you Miziziziz since you seemed to ignore my email too So I dunno lol Again I love your work and this was a great sequel :)
