I liked this game a lot, it has that classic adventure feel to it that these fantasy type of games do. I just finished a spate of playing games that were more like the real world with supernatural elements to them, so this was as welcome return to form. I think that I just like the freedom they have with storylines and and ideas more in the fantasy setting games. The story is a twist on an old story of mythology, and I liked it just fine. Not the best of these games, but definitely acceptable and was fun to follow. The music was pretty good, I found myself noticing how much I liked it when I was playing and the puzzles were good too. There was a nice variety of both normal puzzles and hidden object scenes. The hidden object scenes even had the variations where sometimes you are following a list of items in text, sometimes you're looking for a collection of objects to assemble something, or sometimes you are finding and using items in the scene in a certain order to eventually find one single item. Just really good classic gameplay. I will also say the colors, the animations, the quality of the scenes were all very good, very vibrant with a lot of colors that I missed while playing gothic or pirate-themed games. If I have any criticisms, it's mostly three things. First, some of the puzzles were a little too easy sometimes. Some were hard, so it's balanced, but you might find some to not be very challenging. The second was that the collectibles are genuinely hard to find. I had to play through twice to get them all because they way they are designed, some specifically call your attention but then others are placed in an area with the same pattern and color and they're almost invisible. And then the last thing was that the pacing could be weird at times. I usually feel like the way items you can pick up are paced on most games you never have so much in your inventory that you need to scroll through it horizontally. This game you always seemed to have a ton of things in your inventory. But even though these are criticisms, I could see how some people would like them too. I didn't really have a huge problem. A nice, easy puzzle is fun to ace sometimes. Having a lot of items to use all at once can make you think a bit more about where to use them and be an extra challenge. The collectible issue for me was really the biggest thing and I wish this game had a collectible indicator in the HUD that tells you if you have a collectible in that scene to pick up, but it does not. Even then, some people might really enjoy seeking difficult collectibles out. So even the criticisms are kind of just preferences. I did not have any technical issues with this game. This game does have collectibles and a bonus adventure. This game doesn't have a difficulty requirement for achievements.

A stereotypical Casual Hidden Object Point & Click Adventure game. Not exactly thought-provoking. Only take a few hours to fully complete. Mostly a bit of leisurely wholesome fun that doesn't take itself too seriously.

<Game native resolution: 1600x900> Returning to the tried and true formula of hidden object adventure games published by Artifex Mundi was so sweet. I've played several "off-brand" HOAGs recently. Some were great and some were terrible, but I'm back to playing a game developed by the reliable Sunward Games. This is a very high quality, solid game. It sticks to the formula of fast-paced, smooth gameplay with forward momentum. There are tons of cutscenes to emphasize dramatic moments. "Endless Fables" refers to something other than the game itself. The weakness of The Minotaur's Curse is its length - it ends so soon!. I finished the main story and the bonus adventure in just over three hours. So, you may want to pick up the whole Endless Fables series in a bundle to make sure you've got enough Fables to keep you entertained. I only have this game, so I'll get the rest later. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3217335208
