People trashing on this game is, somewhat ironically, what drove me to buy it. Number one complaint I see is that you can get body-blocked by bosses. For some bosses that is definitely true, and it can kill you. It's also totally avoidable with proper positioning, and you also still have the same number of i-frames from hitting dash whether you're moving or not, so you can dodge in place on attacks and use your next opening to escape. In other words, it's not even a death sentence, just a mechanic to play around. The controls take some getting used to, but combat has a rhythm reminiscent of a dodge-based Sekiro, where when the boss is talking attacking you need to shut up play defensive, but there are openings between attack patterns for you to go on the offensive and get your combos in. What really makes this game work though is that it doesn't have runbacks for its bosses: with a "retry" option on death, you're back in the action in no-time. The game doesn't punish you for dying, lets you respec and reconfigure for free, and bosses telegraph their attacks plenty. Eldest souls is begging for you to be observant, be patient with yourself, experiment, and improve. If you enjoy the sensation of getting the shit knocked out of you countless times, honing your skills and adapting the entire time, until suddenly you manage to overcome that foe... this game delivers. Masochists like me: 10/10, highly recommend If Sekiro was too hard for you: turn back now, you don't have what it takes .

I've completed this game three times. Repeated boss fights using a mode that becomes accessible once you finish your first run. I repeated these boss fights a lot because it's just that fun. Don't let the soyboy comments, and other negative feedback, hold you back from buying this game. This game is in it's perfect state. Anybody complaining about it being too hard or trying to come up with some wild excuse about dodging, or whatever else, is a person that is wildly moronic, they do not deserve to have their opinions heard, nor a platform to have change your opinion. As the timing of this review it's on Sale. Get it. You won't regret it. If you're an elden Ring fan you'll love it. If you're a fan of a lot of visual effects happening at once, and constantly dodging to just survive this is your game. Words alone can't describe how much better this game is than a lot of AAA games out there. So play it for yourself and find out what makes this game special to you. just my two cents, i don't like it when good games get the most idiotic negative feedback, when they could've just said they suck at the game and they will try harder next time. The game ain't even that hard. -Casual Player with an itch for rogue like games P.S. The Music is SO FREAKING GOOOOD HOLY Elden Ring GOOD.

I love this game so much. I originally pirated it, because I live in Brazil and games are expensive, but ended up liking it so much I bought it full-price to support the developers. 10/10 game, would, and will, play again.

This game was great! I know this is a boss rush game and I when I bought this I 100% knew what I was getting into. That being said, after having played through the game and beaten it, I think expanding on this and creating a full blown RPG with talents, gear, and new weapons, would be absolutely incredible. You guys have something really special here, from the world building, to the combat, everything is awesome.

Yes, it is very difficult and it is definitely not the kinda mashing attack & dash game that will be enough to progress. For that reason it is very rewarding if you master it. Those who complain that this is too hard, should become better or just let it be. I have read some "steam-reviews" where they say the dash is not invincible or feels clunky, which I don't think so. You can dodge attacks with your dash fully, but you can not dash through your opponents body, so you need to be aware of the obstacles. Always dash away or sideways from your opponent, never towards your opponent. If you now how to time your attacks, you definitely know when you can dash and when not. So in my opinion the fighting mechanic is really good and fun. This mechanic feels rewarding, because by observing your own and your opponents moves, you will be able to plan your approach and react accordingly. There is a skill-tree system which you can change at any time between the fights and will make it possible for you to adjust the character according to your favorable playstyle. The move-set by your character is quite simple overall, yet you need to use it wisely. Those who like very difficult challenges I can definitely recommend it. Others should better stay away from it.
