Amazing experience first few playthroughs but quickly becomes a economy management simulator. It's very fun, but also one hell of a challenging game for some not very smart people like me. I enjoyed growing my empire across the nile but after some time during your run growth becomes quite stagnant and difficulty increases rapidly as you try to maximize production while also balancing the in game challenges.

Great little gem of a game. In it's core it's a simple strategy game but due to the way time moves, timed challenges and long term goals that pop-up work it remains challenging while not stressing you at all.

A beautiful game about ancient Egypt. Looks simple but is quite deep and interesting.

Great game, but a less than worthy sequel to the original. I found the first game (Pre-dynastic Egypt) to be much tighter and sleeker in design. This felt a bit clunkier---like they perhaps overextended their abilities a touch. If they'd kept the original graphic design of the first one rather than going for a bit more of a 3-D feel, I think this would've been a home run. I also didn't feel like my choices made all that much of a difference in the game, unlike the first game. After a certain amount of time, you won't even look at your city view, but pretty much remain in the all-Egypt view. So, you didn't get this cool transformation of your city over a period of centuries like you did in the first one, which was a huge part of the fun. However, I still had loads of fun with the game and it was hella cool building that first Pyramid at Saqqara.
