Echo Point Nova answers the question: what if there was a shooting game where you have a hover board that can go up walls but also a grappling hook but also an axe that can destroy anything but also a dash that can blast through terrain but also a triple jump but also the ability to make your own trampolines on the fly but also like ten zillion guns that all feel broken? It's awesome, but it's a little much sometimes. This game makes my hands hurt

This game teaches you how to transcend the bounds of your mortality and become a god of speed and destruction. Rarely in a game do I feel such a sense of raw power, and this game pulls it off mainly by making you faster, not by giving you massively stronger weapons. At the start of the game, you're just a guy with a pistol and a hoverboard, but by the time credits roll, you will be flying around enemy bases at mach 5, turning henchmen into red mist and blowing up countless mechs with an infinitely reloading rocket launcher. This game puts the "sick" in motion sickness. 10/10

This game is perfect. I wanted a movement shooter, and I got THE movement shooter. It feels great, is fun to play, and I haven't even touched multiplayer yet. Exploration is fun, guns are fun, movement is fun, cosmetics are fun, everything is just so much fun. I think I've smiled every minute I've played this game so far. Best purchase of the year, probably the decade.

It's strange recommending a game I didn't personally enjoy, I can see the fun underneath my lack of ability to keep up with the game. My issue stems from being terrible at aiming while moving at high speeds, I enjoyed severed steel because of the gratuitous amount of slow-mo you got to use, whereas Echo Point Nova wants you to earn slo-mo by moving faster. Somewhere in the mix of trying to aim/move fast I just flail like a fish. I blame it on getting old, I'll possibly repurchase at a later date when I've smoked enough copium to believe I have a young mans reflexes again. Edit: Thanks for all the positive feedback y'all.
