Short review: 9/10. Good story as a 90% visual novel with minor gameplay elements. My only complaints come with replaying the game for different endings is somewhat slow, but it's much more manageable in this game than other visual novels. Long review: HOLY CRAP. I haven't been able to put on socks for well over a few weeks because every time i put on a pair when playing this game, the socks go flying off somewhere. The characters are all relatable and well written. The story has many setups and payoffs that all feel interconnected and logical-enough. The game is super consistent with writing and characters. As said in the short review, my only real 'problem' comes with replaying parts of the game to get different endings as there is no "fast forward" of any kind, and considering that the game is already a medium-length experience it can be a little frustrating to redo an entire day because you misclicked a dialogue option. That being said, this game is a wholesome, fun time. Get it if you enjoy feel-good stories that let you, as a reader, feel like exploring relationships in different ways is good. Or just play it one time and enjoy your ending. The game takes itself seriously enough to care about what happens, but also knows that it's literally a bunch of dinosaurs in a neo-cyberpunk world. It's goofy, but enjoyable.

Short version: Excellent writing, great characters, multiple stories and paths. I just wish there was something to show more of what happens after the end. Long version: One of the few games I've every played where I've been genuinely attached to the characters, and one of exceptionally rare cases where it's made me cry. Yeah, a friggin' pixel story about anthropomorphic dinosaurs made me cry. It's lovingly well written, not just in the multiple-path branching story and multiple endings, but in the personality/dialogue for each character as well. Personal favorite is Mia who shows up later in the story (admittedly, I have trouble telling her 'no'). Your character, Chris, is someone I feel I can relate to as well. My biggest gripe about the game is, well... honestly, I would love an extended story, even in the form of a DLC. Don't get me wrong, the story's a decent length (not to mention multiple endings, interactions, etc), I just really wish I could see more of certain paths I've taken. A sort of "this is the consequences of your choices" kind of thing. I absolutely recommend this game. Especially if you like Angels with Scaly Wings.

This game is a true Gem and if you're a lover of True Sci-Fi & Synthwave then you will not be disappointed! Full Story 8/7/24 ~~~~~~ The only reason I found out about this game was because the youtuber Raptor played it last year and I loved the music so I kept it on my wishlist. This year I have really been getting into story games or games with a purpose instead of the never ending games I have in the past. I tell you what this game should be the Platinum Standard for story games! I have not been so taken and involved in a story via game or book since I was a tennager at Borders Books. It is just so hard to find great sci-fi stories now a days that dont have spiritism/magic intertwined. So I am totally biased right off the bat cause I love giving props to Devs that dont add that trash into their games! <333 Plus I absolutely love REAL Sci-Fi not the new age spiritistic sci-fi garbage and you mix that with amazing Synthwave music that never misses a beat, my heart <3 Now I do not want to spoil anything for anyone just as nothing was spoiled for me, but I do have to say for all the games that always says "Choices Matter" because of the amazing way everything was written in this game my choices and response really did feel like they matter and because of such I even started feeling bad for the darn little sarcasm-simulator haha xD The game also got me good twice - thought it was game over for sure! Love all the little mini-games I love how if you pay attention the the news articles you can get hints of lore :) Game is just jam-packed with details & references which I am a sucker for. I will say this Play your first run the way you want to without worrying about achievements and just see what happens! That is what I did, I played and responded the way I personally would have if the situation was real and went full send on the time machine because how could I not xD And I absolutely love how the devs summed up the game in the end while giving a hint at how mny diffrnt possibilities there were in the most retro style ever! and YES once you finish the game you can go back to any day you please! <3 Also you can just boot up the game and just have the music running, which I totally have done and will continue to do in the future. Amazing game! By all means if anyone knows of any other games that are like this feel free to mention them. If I come across any other games like this I will update this review with similar games. For now, as far as I am concerned, this game is a 1 of Kind special experience you can only get from this game! And I did paid Full price for this game which I never do but felt the Devs in this case deserved all of the $16. Man Alive I hope these Devs make another game <3 I will put some Spoilers here in Spoiler Text, that I wasnt sure if they are spoilerish but were a nice surprise for me that I don't wanna ruin for anybody At the end the events are displayed in an Album book with poleroid pictures for every option which I thought was a nice touch! Everytime you buy something an amazon delivery drone visits your window, or for me it reminds me of the assasination attempt on Padmae in Episode 2 that drone getting up and close to the window to drop the bugs in XD And opening the boxes has a super satisfying sound & action which was nice! Also I am so glad the holiday at the end of the game was something I could actually get behind and wasnt an actual holiday - huge sigh of relief on my part ~Also if you read the news during the last half of the game and read the description of the STONKS! achievement. Which I just did and it confirmed my theory! Crazy twist and will make you look differently at the game 2nd time round. And thats it for now :P I hope whoever else comes across this game has an amazing time enjoying it <333

Let me tell you, I wasn't sure what to expect with Dynopunk. Dinosaurs? Cyberpunk? Repair shop? It sounded like a wild mix, but man, it totally works! You play as Chris, a regular mechanic just trying to make it in this crazy world where dinosaurs run the show. The visuals are killer – like, seriously cool pixel art with this awesome neon glow. And the soundtrack? Pure fire. Synthwave beats that perfectly capture the whole cyberpunk vibe. Now, the gameplay itself is pretty chill. You fix gadgets for your dino customers with these fun little minigames. But here's the kicker: your choices actually matter. You gotta be careful what you say and what repairs you make, because it can totally change how things play out. I messed up a conversation with a grumpy Triceratops once, and let's just say, things got awkward. The only downside? It can feel a bit repetitive after a while, fixing gadgets and chatting with dinos. And I would've loved for the story to be a tad longer. But overall, Dynopunk is a hidden gem. It's funny, heartwarming, and surprisingly deep. Plus, dinosaurs with robot arms? Come on, that's just awesome.

Heartwarming game, with very interesting characters each having their own issues and accurate depiction of trauma, especially the part where the thoughts were intruding. Very chilling. You play as Chris, one of the last T-Rexes who moved into a huge city in order to persue his dream of opening a tech-repair shop. In the shop he finds a blueprint of a time machine and joins a forum with other 'time travellers and gets to see which parts are for auction each day. As the game progress Chris meets a plenitude of characters each with their own personality and weird gadgets for you to fix. Chris wants to obtain the time machine to save his T-Rex childhood friend and girlfriend who got killed in an unfortunate vehicle accident. Which is referenced throughout the whole game with certain 'trigger' words and nightmares. At the end after a series of wacky events, such as being kidnapped by the mafia for some reason, Chris is outbided at an auction for the last time machine part making all his efforts, depending on the choice you make Chris will find another T-Rex girl that also wants to build a time machine.[\spoiler] It teaches you not to judge others by their appearance or mannerisms and projects in a very realistic manner the issues they could be facing. On the other hand, it makes you accept that not everyone is capable enough and willing to change for the better. The main message that exudes and is said directly by some characters is to always chase your dreams and always look forward since the past cannot be changed. There is no gore/sex or even swear words but the themes are too heavy that I wouldn't recommend it for anyone that is under the age of 18 or is dealing with depression, anxiety and other mental issues that could be triggered. In contrast however, it can be quite eye-opening to individuals who are in a dark mental space. It really depends on the person(i cried), the message conveyed in the end is positive.
