This game and Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate are honestly the best 2 games of this particular style on steam right now. If you're looking for Dynasty warriors action - These 2 games are for sure your choices. Dynasty warriors games have always been a classic if you had it as a kid. But sadly right now DW7 runs poorly these days on newer computers and DW9 was just a dumpster fire of a release. I personally highly recommend this one for nostalgia and endless fun. The ambition mode is really fun as well, but it does get grindy. It just adds another layer of gameplay. I love the big battles and building up your troops. (And hearing Pang tong constantly be proud of himself lol). If you're an achievement hunter like myself, lets just say it's gonna take a while. I'm still quite far from 100% after 90+ hours and that says a lot for how much the game offers!

An extremely bad port, highest resolution to setup is 1920x1080 lol No steam cloud support and poor controller recognition yet I have so much respect for the franchise that I will leave this as a "Positive review" With the Z mod fix, you can play in higher resolution and in Ultrawide thanks to whoever created it My hopes are still down for the franchise with these ports but a man can still hope. all they got to do is fix the ports, add steam cloud and that's it.. the game itself is really good.

I played DW since DW 2, Then played it all until DW 8 XL. I must say this one is the BEST DW available for now. epic story, no duplicate move or weapon, lots of collectibles, great graphic, alternate story, massive rooster, and new AMBITION mode! Totally recommend DW8 XL for hack and slash lovers.

Yep, its a dynasty warriors game. Mindless brainrot, story full of limitless cheese, but man is it a whole lot of fun. Not the greatest port, button prompts use a generic icon rather than the buttons of the controller you're using. However, combat is mostly centered around 2 different buttons so it's not hard to wrap your head around. I've experienced zero technical issues. At the playtime as of me writing this, I have completed 3 of the 5 campaigns, and have not touched the 2 additional modes. I have also not played the addtional missions added with Xtreme Legends, so theres a pretty healthy chunk of content.

Coming from Dw3 straight to this I love the gameplay but it's not what it used to be. If you like hack and slash 100% recommend it's got good story and gamplay
