Very cool simple turn based RPG with a good story and world. Worth your time and money.

As a massive fan of the carvaneer series and easily a few hundred hours in the 2nd one alone i might be a bit biased in loving this which has clearly taken inspiration from it. I will say for super old folk like me who have played caravaneer 2 this one differs in that it is a simplified version, while you still have industries you can invest into and build up to setup trade routes in the economy, the combat is a lot more basic and essentially risk free, there is not yet any sort of livestock element that i've seen yet and the world is basically a more forgiving place. That isn't a bad thing this does bring some great new aspects to the genre too the bunker exploration/base takeover mechanic has a pretty nice being able to plan out your own underground bunker element which caravaneer 2 lacked, on that you could found a single town through story and its industries but it was limited, this seemingly lets you bases and production across the world. My only gripe is that its a story mode and that is it, i'd like to see a custom scenario option where you can start in a few different places

Appearances CAN be deceiving. Underneath the low quality graphics lies a decent post apocalyptic RPG with a resource management game that might turn off the uninitiated. You want a MAD MAX style game? Well, it depends on if you don't like managing resources but otherwise, this is the game for you. If you don't mind the simplistic style of aesthetics (that I personally like) I highly recommend this game. An 8 out 10.

It's a pretty good game but it's also very grindy. IF you can get past that, you should give it a try.

TL;DR: The basis for "my kind of game" I find when playing Dust to the End. I'm giving it a positive review, since in its current state I can easily give it 7.5/10. The developers have got it right in a lot of aspects but also miss the mark in some others. I like how simple the economy system is. I don't have to remember stuff, it's all there in the UI. I don't have to grind for hours, I can simply repeat the same routes a few times in the span of 10-15 minutes to get the cash I need to get to the next step. It's a bit "rinse and repeat" like, but this works for me as I'm often watching a stream on the side. I like the fact I'm able to build bases and have a passive stake in the local economy. After building and populating a base, my people will trade for me as long as I keep them content and secure. Once again, this is simplified when compared to some of my favorite games in the genre, but I appreciate it in this game. The main reason I am unable to invest myself fully into this game and give it something like a 9/10 is the lack of Character Development. Don't get me wrong, this game is well worth the price range IMO and there is a RPG-like kind of Character Development system in the game, but it is very basic. That makes combat very repetitive. I basically apply the same tactics to all fights, the only tactical choice I make is what to focus on first. Luckily, the devs have included an Automatic Combat system in the game that was better than I was at the start, then became a time saver as my party levelled up a bit and I was able to try my hand at the combat system. I got bored and went back to automatically winning the fights. Basically, the actions a character can use is entirely dependent on the weapons they use. Characters have ability scores and "class traits/features" that can improve their performances, but thats about it. No skill tree, only the possibility of upgrading the class specific features a bit and improve ability scores as characters level up. So I play this game as a post-apocalyptic caravan simulator, building up economical power in each region I pass through until I reach my goal (cause yea, there's a bit of a story here). Try it out for yourself, it's fun for a good while and supports good devs who will only get better !
