I played through DW2 and really enjoyed it, and seeing a post about DW3 got me to want a little bit more now. So I bought this, had a lot of fun with it, and hopefully won't have to wait too long for DW3.

I love tower defence games and this one is a really fun one. I was playing with all the runes on all the time and could barely beat the fourth level, I kept wondering why this game is so flipping hard, ha.

This is easily the best pure tower defense I've ever played. The graphics and audio, while simplistic, fit REALLY well with the game. But, of course, what makes it tick are your defenses. They are more like Orcs Must Die traps, instead of standard TD turrets, so there's a lot of interaction with the maps. Pushing, launching and harpooning into bottomless pits/water/etc; using barricades to make enemies path into minecart rails or long corridors where they get pierced by bolt traps or step on spike traps. Unlike OMD, you don't control a character, but you can bring a special fast-recharging skill to aid you in some way (drop proximity bombs, bear traps, repair doors and barricades, etc). Really satisfying game, cannot recommend enough.

I probably got this from some bundle, and a steam game random play next popped it up. Looks like this was one of the old greenlight projects that was of course grrenlit. It is a suprisingly entertaining tower defense game with trap type unlocks and leveling up. I am not sure it adds anything new to the genre, but does the TD thing well enough. Get while on sale, ideally at a sizeable discount (50%+) 6.5/10

This game deserves way more love. It's surprisingly deep in variety and difficulty, yet all the mechanics are presented in such a simple way that is instantly easy to grasp. It's very rewarding to retry levels with extra difficulty modifiers, XP, unlockables, achievements and so on. Don't be deceived by its simple pixel graphics, this is one of the best Tower Defense games out there.
