To be fair, I only wrote this because I needed the review for the nomination achiev, but also to be fair, this game was and still is one of the best Dungeon Keeper games of all times. Game on, minions! Muhahahaaaaa!

The game I love, working without any issues on my modern pc at a very reasonable price. I hope they consider a full remaster, maybe add some new dungeons as dlc. Come on, they are leaving money on the table here. Changes I would like: widescreen and a zoom out.

I didn't catch this game the 1st time around & I'll preface my review with this is EXACTLY the type of game I would have loved. It holds up PERFECTLY through the years. I remapped the keys & began playing right away. The only thing I wished it had was a scroll when you move the mouse to the edge of the screen, & I haven't been able to figure out how I mapped a "circle to the left/right" but it's really not needed. 1 top down view gives you all you need. Other than that I'm halfway through a campaign & it's already getting difficult. Like the old days I don't read mags or websites to cheat on how to play. I'm figuring it out as I go. Once I play the game a few times THEN I'll learn all the things I missed. (I like to see how much I was able to figure out on my own & test my mettle). This game FEELS like it could have been made today. It's an instant classic & a forever game. I bought it when it was on sale for $2 - 100s of hours of game play for $2? Also, the bundle with Command & Conquer, Alpha Centauri etc... that's all a win. I never played any of those games either so it's catch up time. You might be thinking WTF was I doing at 14-18? I was playing Fantasy Empires. SNES, N64 (GoldenEye, FF4,6,7), Starcraft Broodwar (& Shareware for thousands of hours), Warcraft 1,2, Diablo 1,2. Chrono Trigger. So lets face it. We lived in the golden age of gaming. Fact is... you could have played 100 hours a week & STILL missed out on 100s of Ace titles. I played more than anyone I knew & I still never got to these games. Which is why I'm glad I'm making up for lost time. If there is anyone out there that wants to play multiplayer classic games with me - hit me up. I never had brothers/sisters & always was stuck playing by myself. I'm always looking for people who wanna go back in time & didn't get a chance to multiplayer either.
