So, this dev is a fucking legend, let me tell you why. They made a cool rougelike with some cool stuff in it, and an imo ewally fucking cool combat system, but then some people thought maybe pvp would work in the game? So the mad lad made new character sprites for EACH ONE OF THE BASE CHARACTERS, gave them all unique weapons, ADDED SOME INTIRELY NEW ONES and updated the combat system to make it more pvp friendly! And you know what? I suck at it! But thats okay! its still awesome!

Players asked for online pvp with custom rollback netcode, and the dev delivered. Then, he only charged $5 for the game, and made it and so all cosmetics currently in the game are unlockable by playing matches. I believe he severely overdelivered and would recommend this game to anyone. This is easily worth much more, and I believe he's being extremely generous with the loyal OSFE players. Super fun to play, and I can't wait to try out all the different builds and strategies.

Duelists of Eden is a high energy 1v1 grid-based PVP card battler. A unique, thrilling, once-you-start-you-can't-stop kind of game that never gets old no matter how much you play it. There's always room to grow, explore new ideas, or just try out funny combos. If you enjoyed One Step From Eden, or even Megaman Battle Network, and want to face off against real people in a similar style of game, I think this game will offer you everything you want and more. TMK listens to the community and updates with their thoughts and ideas in mind, without making excessive knee-jerk reactions. He has developed countless interesting cards that together form innumerable intriguing combos to be explored. Strategies range from fast paced combo decks, to more methodical area control, to just firing a bunch of big spells at your enemy. Each strategy has pros and cons, and infinite flexibility between them and beyond them. The game has many easy to understand archetypes if you aren't one for building decks yourself, as well as a ton of community decks to support you getting into the game. Duelists of Eden also has a great deal of "Fighting Game" DNA, but manages to avoid many of the common pitfalls of the genre. With the mana system, you will never find yourself going 100-0 against a more experienced player. Instead, they'll run out of mana and need time to regenerate, giving you time to launch your own attack. Even when you're losing, and losing HARD, you still feel like you're participating and get to play. The balancing is also excellent. While no game is perfect, and I'm sure much will change for the better as the game continues on and there's more clear data due to having more people playing. Many different players have found success with wildly different decks and characters in the alpha/beta periods of the game's lifespan. There's also even some support for modding! So if you don't like the meta you can always get together with some friends and make your own cards to play among yourselves in custom lobbies! The community is also incredibly supportive, positive, and kind. Information sharing on strategies, decks, characters, matchups, and so on is everywhere on the Discord, and there's always people happy to help you get better by playing you and giving you tips in a custom lobby. There's plenty of room for competition and rivalry if that's more your speed, but at the core the community is so sweet and wonderful to be a part of. This game, as I write this, has only just launched and has incredible room to grow from here. It's already massively fun and there's only more and more room for it to get better due to the remarkable flexibility of the game's concept. The price point is also spectacularly low for the amount of time and effort that's gone into making it, and the quality of what you're getting. I would have paid triple, quadruple, I would have paid TEN TIMES as much if I had to. This price is incredible. I genuinely believe this may be the greatest game I have ever played. Give it a try!

as a tournament organizer a game launching with a fully fleshed out lobby system, rollback netcode, and a setting for both borderless + keep audio when tabbed out is rarer than you might think....
