I love this game. Its Rust for people who still have joy in their hearts. Its so fun for how simple it is, especially with friends, and it beats the crap out of all the friendslop games that are coming out lately. I wish more people would play this game and the developers would keep it alive.
t's been a very long time since I've reviewed a game, but I believe Duckside deserves a positive one. Is it the most active game? No. But the community and overall experience make it an absolute blast to play. Unlike Rust, not everyone you come across is looking to backstab, betray, or kill you on sight. The moment I joined, I asked in chat if the game was dead. A sad "yes" came from 3–4 people. They all said it was a shame because the game has so much potential. I ended up talking to a guy named Eric who has 3,759 hours in the game. Coming from Rust, I asked him if it was still worth giving a shot. "Yes," he replied. So I did. I got killed while building my first base. The guy who killed me actually apologized in chat and said my resources would be put to good use for his base. That's not something you see in Rust or Ark. Sadly, it feels like the developers have given up on the game, or at least it seems that way. But the community hasn't given up yet, and that's what keeps Duckside worth playing.
Great game if you love crashes, raids, and trauma. But! You can fly though so ill give it 2 stars. Its a patience test with extra steps. OHhhh btw for the NOVICE PLAYERS who are new to these type of games please beware the former RUST/ArkTrash players out there who is already perceptive and ready to ruin your day :)
