Review time showing very low as I am playing this on a Quest2 but had brought on here to link via PC before seeing a direct version on the Quest2. They got my money twice this was that good ! Here is my first video on the channel playing a VR game. https://youtu.be/Y8JytISYcY4?si=VozLTYJpj4H8T0V6 This game is great - the creepiness that it creates by the graphics just does not translate unless you are there and the sounds, but god, the sounds are horrible. They constantly have you on the edge of panic. 10/10 for the experience. If you own a VR headset, this game is an absolute must. https://youtu.be/Y8JytISYcY4?si=VozLTYJpj4H8T0V6

Truly a great Horror Experience, it doesn't base it self off cheap jumpscares, it truly doesn't even have jumpscares. It's all based on you trying to get through this dungeon like maze and move on to the next. The monsters in the game are very well designed and can provide a challenge, it reminds me a bit of the classic amnesia game, especially with the lantern and the dungeon itself. Don't buy the game if you don't wanna feel fear, this game is designed to put fear into you. Every corner you turn could be something waiting for you, every door you open could be your last. It's a brilliant horror game and I highly recommend it if you are ready for that fear.

I love this game. My kids love this game, but ONLY to watch me play, because they are too scared to get into VR to play it. I have almost 50 hours playing it, and that's only a little bit of time that is counted sitting with the headset on and the game going. The rest is the thrill ride of playing the game. I have gotten pretty scared out with monsters as they chase me, but I still can play this game alone even late at night, but that's likely not going to be most people, because the game is scary and intense. Highly recommend it. The only sad thing is there is no vertical levels to go up or down, just forward, backward and sideways, but the random generated levels are great. There are a lot of repeated areas though for the few amount of themed levels. I suppose the only other thing I would have liked is for the developer to make a newer game with additional creatures and deathtraps, and maybe some actual death animations. When you get caught and "die" you just blank out with a grunt sort of death and you have to start the level over. I did try the dev's new space related horror game, and I really just didn't like it. You may though, because it seems a lot of the VR community likes it. That one just really doesn't work for me. I want more of Deadhalls instead >>> with more, more more.

Absolutely phenomenal horror experience. A game hasn't scared me this much since the first amnesia game. Has some unpolished features due to being an og VR game, but it is well worth playing. not for the faint of heart. 9/10

I played, i finished to the end, i got scared way too many times. The concept of the game is simple, corridors, map, item to be found, scary stuff out there with a lamp mechanic. The game has been able to take a simple concept to a grand new level of horror, i dont want to replay this game again because i got too scared way too many times. You want to be terrified, in VR, play this game it will be worth your time.
