6.8 out of 10 (7.8 out of 10 in VR) Pros: Intense and immersive in VR, genuinely good jump scares and a fun Haunted House Simulator. Cons: Extremely short, ludicrously easy (very little challenge), bland graphics, and wonky physics/bugs. Verdict: Don't Knock Twice is a experience worth having - it is genuinely spooky in places, and keeps you on your toes as you explore it's haunted house. In the short 1hr 40 minutes or so it typically takes to beat - the game throws achievements at you and offers the ability to be played in either VR or traditionally with a controller or K&M. VR mode is the star of the show, and Don't Knock Twice is one of the better VR horror offerings on STEAM. In non-VR however, the game is a solid but mediocre experience with poor graphics, alot of odd environmental bugs, and not alot of replayability beyond a unimportant multiple-choice ending. Don't Knock Twice is still a fun but flawed little experience should you not play it with a headset... but VR and motion controls are where the game becomes a blast. I highly recommend that if you are NOT going to play Don't Knock Twice in VR, that you wait for a DEEP SALE (less than $7), because $20 is far too much for a game this short (and without VR the experience is nerfed). In non-VR the game is still really unsettling and enjoyable for what it is, but certainly not meaty enough to justify that full price.

A pretty short horror game that I'd feel works better as a VR title. I only say that since otherwise it essentially boils down to a walking simulator with a handful of jump scares. It's not a bad game and it has a decent idea behind the story of it, but you have to speed through your relationship with your daughter and why your house is now haunted. If you want to give it a go then I'd say $5 is probably my recommend point.

Unfortunately there is no neutral rating so I am giving the thumbs up because isn't a horrible game. It is a very very short almost like a walking sim (because the game is so linear), you can even finish it in under 1 hour, and it's not tense nor scary at all.

It's less of a horror game, more of a thriller. I was a bit lost at times, thus the walking simulator experience hitting quite hard, but for what it is, it's a cute little game. That being said, it's not worth the 20bux. If it's on sale for cheap it'd much more be worth it.

really good atmospheric horror game with a decent twist at the end, lots of nice collectables that double as extra story telling through diaries and notes, feels a bit like its taken a lot of inspo from amnesia the dark descent, only complaint is that the 'enemy' didnt feel like a threat throughout the game like in amnesia, i wasnt worried about getting killed at all, it didnt take away from the spooky experience but it would have been nice to have it bee slightly more threatening with more combat-esque mechanics seeing as you get an axe and the axe reappears at multiple locations even if you held onto it the first time
