Played this a ton on the Saturn hardware, and MAME. Great iteration. Some slowdown here and there but given the hectic bullet hell, I expect that to be by design - and it actually helps to stay alive longer. You see my time played as of review. I'm not convinced this is worth the asking price, but that is a minority opinion among people who have played more and understand more. Maybe there is more than just a re-look of an old shooter here. But I won't hold my own perception of there being little content here against the game. Clearly, this package is worth money. But, maybe a different amount.

Pretty great shmup. My first donpachi game and 3rd cave game. I guess I'll mostly talk about 1.5 original version since thats the only one I've beaten at this point but I've gotten close in black label and BL arrange. Anyway, Daifukkatsu is good, and i like it. I dont really know why you fight robot women but it goes hard nonetheless, as does the soundtrack, which is goated but not as goated as futari ofc. The gameplay is purdy good, as expected of a cave game. They ditched the power up system so the adrenaline rush kicks in right from the get go, especially when you're going for the ura route. Visuals are good, but i dont know if that really means anything anymore in this day and age, especially considering I almost exclusively play shmups and old fighting games. Tbh i dont even know what else to say at this point, this is just a really solid game for masochists like me so if you're reading this you'll prolly like it too. yeah. also if youre reading this drunken, meet me in the 2nd loop fool
