Buy it on sale, I hate the clunky controls in this game. I recommend this game because it is a game with a nice story just like the movie. The game itself has aged very poorly and it does not help that this is the PS2 version port instead of the superior version like other reviewers have already pointed out. Recommended for if you are a fan of the POTC movies, but don't expect smooth gameplay. The game does have a soul. A remake of this game with better graphics and controls would do it alot of good. I rate it a 5,5/10, it is not very good in my opinion, but also not that bad.

Before owning this game on Steam (bought it and ~200 Disney games last year on sale), I already spent 300+ hours in this game. I received the CD of this game as a gift back in 2007 (I still own that CD with manual book, I was just reading it an hour ago) and completed it 3-4 times at least (all of them 100% with all challenges and button sequence cutscenes, yeah, screw Prison Fortress cutscene, the hardest part in the game). But mainly I was playing Poker and Liar's Dice. In fact, I even bought 25+ dice back in the day just to play that game in real life lol. And in fact, this game was the sole reason why I loved Texas Hold'em, and received premium poker set in 2008 by the same people. Well, now I am gonna 100% it again. Yeah, screw Prison Fortess button sequence cutscene again! P.S. I see they still haven't fixed sound bug even after 17 years lol! EDIT: There was no such stuck on place after action bug. Now this happened 2 times and there is nothing you can do about it, only restart. Sucks though, all this progress lost.

It is everything you can imagine of a 2007 game. It is a really fun game, especially if you are a fan of the series aswell. Love that the characters have good voice overs. There are a few CONS: - Screen Resolution (maxed at 1024 x 768) - Quick button events are hard due to the fact that it does not show you the buttons to press but shows icons. - Also wished that some of the in game npc would change up a bit when talking to them ( but ofc the game is old and back then the game was the best there is).

It's a very old movie tie-in game that works! Nostalgia will serve as the primary driver of enjoyment, as the gameplay quickly becomes repetitive. If you played this as a youngin' (as I did) it will be fun to blast thru levels with speed and prowess little you could have only dreamt of.
