Hiraeth n. (Welsh) A spiritual longing for a home which maybe never was. Nostalgia for ancient places to which we cannot return. It is the echo of the lost places of our soul's past and out grief for them. It is the wind, and the rocks, and the waves. It is nowhere and it is everywhere.

Listen if you are even thinking about buying it, go ahead. 3 bucks ain't squat. There is a fan patch to make things possible, and I'm not sure why the dev just didn't fix it themselves, but oh well. EDIT: The dev can't fix it because they lost the source on their old computer that died. That's a fairly good reason! The RPG part isn't that fun, nor is the dungeon crawling itself. Both are extremely bare bones. You're here for the dialogue, and that is plenty interesting.

Imagine you played a very weird game back in 2001 after pirating a bunch of games from some shady website in bulk. You open it, play it and feel very weirded out and disoriented. Soon enough you forget about it completely. A absolute dormant memory. Fast foward to 23 years later, you find this game on steam and it vaguely reminds you of something but you're not quite sure what it is. You decide to give it a go and you play it, only to realize it is that one specific game you played in 2001 that left you weirded out and disoriented. You feel those same emotions and also a little bit of nostalgia. This review is basically fanfiction but I have no other way of describing how this game makes me feel. Another way I could try describing it is, imagine the very dark "deep web" videos you used to watch as a 11 year old on youtube, completely terrified about this scary internet. The videos have terribly low resolution which adds to the creepiness, but it's also not quite creepy either. Just weird. You feel weirded out but in a good way, you're curious and also a little bit scared. I really recommend it to anyone that has an interest in oldweb/netlore stuff and abandonware.

Pleasantly surprised at how long this turned out to be. Dialogue really carries the game, only complaint is that some floors feel like filler and make my eyes bleed. Incredibly good game for how cheap it is though. Definitely grabbing ST as soon as it's available on steam.

This game is really hard to describe in a way that doesn't sound like a joke Best way I can is by saying this game is like walking through the decaying corpse of the old internet (like 1997 to 2007 or something), and I honestly think it's one of my favorite designs for a game ever. It was a very interesting journey to go through. The game's music gave me a massive amount of nostalgia and oddly enough a very comforting unease as strange as that sounds, it's very fitting. It sounds and feels like something you'd hear off one of those like hour long YouTube videos that's just like a collection to fit a theme, and it's really damn good. In terms of gameplay? It's RPG Maker, so it's not like the next huge thing in terms of mixing things up, but the navigation was very cool. Felt like I was walking in the Windows 95 maze mixed with a tiny bit of Shin Magami Tensei. I started off super confused and was hesitant to get into the game because of how the game looked because the textures and just everything is off-putting at first, but trust me it's amazing. It's mixes with the music's theming amazingly. It's all just super comforting with its nostalgic factor and even without that the game is insanely solid. The story you really need to piece together yourself, but it's also very great, and the game plays into its story perfectly. Ultimately, this game is kinda like Yumi Nikki but with like more to it. It's good, you should get it. I love Mel <3
