Future titles have streamlined the experience, added great mechanics and jacked up the fidelity, but it all started here.

I know this game is really old but, it was really cheap on the summer sale and more people might buy it. This is one my favorite games ever and I made my life easier while leveling up with a macro. You need a mouse that has software that lets you make a macro, like for example Logitech's G Hub. I have a G604. **8bitdo does not work due to a 18 action limit on their macro software.** I will make another macro for Demonhall Mirror soon too. If like me, you are going to just watch a video or do some reading etc. on your second monitor; just make sure that the last thing you do before turning on the macro is left clicking on the monitor that you are going to have the game running. Remember that windows keeps the keyboard and mouse use on the last monitor that you worked on. So if you turn on the macro and then go to lets say YouTube, the macro is going to execute on that screen instead of the game. You put your video to run first and then open the game (this game minimizes when you use other apps) and start the macro. Remember to switch all sound off on the game too. I hope you like this, because I absolutely love it. VERY IMPORTANT, keep the delays on key down/up at 150ms. For some reason the game freaks out if you make them shorter. The first 3.5 second (3500ms) pause is for the screen change from the stage menu to the actual stage. The second 3.5 second (3500ms) pause is for the execution of the turn (Winged Slayer). The last 2 second (2000ms) pause is for the screen change from the stage, back to the stage menu. CAVE OF ORDEALS STAGE 3 LEVELING MACRO: On the stage menu, put the cursor on Cave of Ordeals' stage 3, before turning on the macro. K, 3.5 second pause K three times Right one time K two times Down two times, K Down three times, K Right, K, I, K 3.5 second pause, K, K 2 second pause DEMONHALL MIRROR MACRO: COMING SOON...

Pretty over-the-top characters, who were all very likable. It takes time to get used to the combat, but can be pretty fun once you get the hang of it.

For those who like tactical RPGs, over the top flashy moves, big numbers, and grinding until the grindstone itself has been reduced to a fine chalky powder, look no further. This is the game/franchise that will satiate that admittedly specific niche for the remainder of your days. There are some who say you should skip this game and go grab yourself a later entry into the series that is more feature complete. Fair and up to you. I started with this one and have no regrets. It's easier to get into than the naysayers claimed. And I like to play game franchises in release order to see how it evolves over time.
