WARNING If you couldn't run this game on Win 10/11 refer to guides/discussions or ask me in the comment section. It is a common problem but with numerous and reliable solutions. REVIEW It's a very addictive game. I didn't even want to complete it in the beginning but now I have 80 hours. I loved Disciples II in my childhood and played it dozens of hours 20 years ago. Some names and unit voice lines I remembered through the years but never had a thought to play it again because I perceived it as a passed stage of my life for some reason. Unexpectedly my brother reminded me about Disciples II in 2024 and we got curious how the hell Disciples looks like because we knew only Disciples II. Not surprising it turned out that localization of the game was done with an ass instead of hands so Disciples II was published in Russia as "Disciples II" and Disciples was as "Sword and Crown" and as you can see no person on the Earth knowing Russian could relate these games. My curiosity led me to launch Disciples to find out how it feels in 2024. You know what? It feels awesome. At first you may be irritated by outdated graphics but it doesn't matter after 10 minutes of gameplay. Honestly, everything looks the same as Disciples II with a little worse in every aspect of visual quality but feels authentic. I completed the main campaigns on the highest difficulty and it took 80 hours. The hardest chapter was Undead III so if you want some advices feel free to ask. But realistically be ready for technical problems collateral to old games running on modern PC: [*]The main problem is to run the game. I already wrote about it in the important note; [*]Constant crashes. There is autosave in the end of every day but better save manually at the beginning; [*]Sometimes I had visual trail of a mouse cursor or belated picture from a previous action overlaid on top of the current graphic representation like in a broken e-book. Try to save the game and relaunch; [*]In every game session on the first launch the game crashes from 2 to 4 times on attempt to load saves; [*]Needs third party software to stream the game with OBS. At least I couldn't find a "native" way; [*]NO CLOUD SYNCS for game saves. Be warned if you reinstall your OS or took a laptop in a trip minding to play in an airplane. You must manually copy your game saves to new devices. These problems are not that bad as it may seem. A couple of minutes to run the game and the rest are bearable. There is a wrapper which solves all problems including running, tweaking and streaming with obs. Don't be afraid or just message me and we'll figure out. 10/10.

The game shows its age but its really fun and nostalgic for me, especially the undead campaign! Go in with an open mind and you wont be disappointed, a great time killer if you like older games and fantasy settings.

fun and very addictive games I love it. You chose which one to lead . no one have the edge everyone have weakness and strengh. Good story line too.

In one year is gonna be 26 years (!) since the premiere of this game. And that's why this game deserves the title of a diamond. Why? Because the diamonds are not getting old! The gameplay is so awesome, you want to play 'one more round...just one more round" The rules of fight are not very complicated, yet you have to combine and take a risk to win Watching units leveling up is very satisfying and descriptions of them is something that makes fantasy world much more attractive Graphic? Who cares it's so old, if animations, portraits and other state pictures looks great! I recommend highly - you're gonna have a lot of fun!

This is a good turn based strategy game. It is a very old game. The art style of this game is good. Since its a 2D game it doesn't look that bad. It works on windows 11. Max resolution is 480p and will stretch to 1080p or whatever your screen resolution is. I have amd graphics and i use performance profile to play this game which uses super resolution option to stretch and make it look better.
