Fun and chill game, well worth the money. I like the idea of ores being different tetronimos that you have to fit into a grid to craft drills, very cool and original.

After playing A Game About Digging A Hole for a while I ended up finding this and I must say it scratches the same itch. Brain off, just dig. Motherload fans will absolutely love this game, and the ascension system it uses. Having a great time just digging a hole!

Amazing Game. There is some Engrish in here that makes some things confusing. So ill list a few here. 1. In the tutorial it says "BREAK THE GLOBES!" or something along those lines. Those globes are the health regen for blocks that can heal themselves. When you break the orbs the blocks health slows down its regen. 2. Dig Speed is your Drills Speed. Dig Power is how much it hits per block. 3. The cogs are not permanent and can be swapped for other perks at any time. use this to your advantage. REVIEW: Amazing Incremental game. Starts very slow, but if you start by digging straight down in a line, you can get powerful quickly. Drill speed is your best friend, power second, and BLASTS of all kinds are worth your time. Bomber is goated and youll see why. Amazing game that ive had as much fun with as Gnorp Apologue, Digseum, and the slew of other indie incremental games. The time you see (10.4 hours at time of writing) was all done in one sitting. Props to the dev for making an easy to understand and very fun little game!

Huge motherload fan here. I have played lots of "dig and upgrade" games over the years and this one is really solid. Big fan of the mechanics and gameplay loop. It's simple to get into, its fun to collect, progression feels well designed, and the game is priced very fairly. A+ work actual hidden gem.

A drilling game so addicting it should be illegal. DigDigDrill is one of those simple games that turns out to be incredibly addicting to play. It is one of those games where I say I will have a play session of an hour or two and move on to something else only to find I spent considerably more time on it than I had planned to. The whole point of DigDigDrill at first is to reach floor 999 which when first starting out it takes effort to do so. You need to collect ore, blueprints and gold along the way to forge better drills to help accomplish this task. As you progress though you find out you can upgrade to equip multiple drills at a time and each drill can have enchantments on it. Now you find yourself trying to make super drills to break the game and get to floor 999 as quick as possible and acquire as much loot as you can. Once floor 999 has been reached the game hits you with a new quest to conquer the ruins which have up to ten levels of difficulty each difficulty rank raising the amount of HP the blocks have making it tougher to progress if your drills are slacking in power or enchants, but it has better rewards. The ruins also introduce Haniwa and Totems which can also add to your power making your drilling even more potent. Oh yeah, an orebless tree also pops up along the way adding even more ways to take your drilling to the next level. DigDigDrill is like Disgaea if Disgaea was a drilling mining game instead of an SRPG. You grind alot, you get more powerful, you grind more and get more powerful and eventually are left in awe when you combo enough Bomber++ enchants with BatteryBlast++ and GoodLuck++ to watch as loads of blocks just explode around you and all that glorious loot comes flying into your bag. Of course if your bag gets too full your drill speed slows drastically making it where you want to surface to drop off your loot as a slow drill speed means lower DPS to the blocks in your way, unless you also have the Collector++ enchant which gives your drill a boost to attack power for each ore you have in your bag, in this case the slower speed doesn't matter as you will have more than enough attack to blow through any block in your way. There is something strangely satisfying about seeing one drill hit doing 1000000+ damage. Do I really need to waste that much time in order to do that, don't know and don't care because I liked seeing it happen. With all the ways to make your drilling extremely powerful, constantly rerolling in the drill forge to get the enchants you want, DigDigDrill has the potential to keep you playing for awhile or at least coming back for more especially if you are a player who wants to get all the achievements in it. Thought Vampire Survivors was addicting, DigDigDrill is pretty dang close. Try the demo and if it hooks you grab the game. At the time of this review I have 63 hours on record, that is a lot of hours put into a $3.99 game and that should show just how addicting the gameplay of DigDigDrill can be. Just don't blame me if you end up finding yourself spending your weekend off from work or school glued to DigDigDrill.
