Dicey Dungeons is an absolutely brilliant and creative game that stands out in the world of roguelikes. Its unique concept of combining dice mechanics with dungeon crawling creates a truly engaging and fresh experience. Each character you play as uses dice rolls to determine actions, making every decision and outcome feel dynamic and unpredictable. This simple yet clever mechanic keeps the gameplay exciting and varied, encouraging players to think strategically about their dice rolls and available actions. The level of difficulty in Dicey Dungeons is also perfectly tuned. The game provides a fair challenge that pushes players to think on their feet, but it never feels overwhelming. The progression is satisfying, with each run offering new opportunities for improvement, and the difficulty curve is just steep enough to keep things interesting without becoming frustrating. Visually, Dicey Dungeons has a charming, minimalist art style that fits the quirky nature of the game. The bright colors and bold designs give the game a fun, playful vibe that’s both easy on the eyes and full of personality. The simple yet effective visuals enhance the overall experience, making it a joy to explore its many levels. Overall, Dicey Dungeons is a standout title that impresses with its originality, challenging gameplay, and charming visuals. It’s a must-play for fans of roguelikes, puzzle games, or anyone looking for something uniquely engaging. Highly recommended!

Very fun game, until you have to play as the Witch, and then it is a very not fun game. However, since five playable characters are not the Witch and only one playable character is, it's a recommend from me.

A great rouge-lite deck builder that has gotten some fun additional content added over the years. Several of the episodes change the way the game plays pretty substantially, which keeps things fresh, though the lack of unique enemies does eventually start to hamper the game experience a little bit. I also really enjoyed the OST composed by Chipzel, which has some definite memorable stand outs.

I've just completed the first level of the first five characters and I had a lot of fun with the game, with the exception of the witch early on. This is a simple turn-based battle roguelite with a heavy reliance on RNG. I had fun, if that sounds like your thing you'll have a reasonable amount of fun as well.

Simple, yet fun and engaging roguelike with a surprising amount of content. The characters provide vastly different playstyles and the available episodes, plus the possibility of randomizing rules make sure that replayability is not an issue. Definitely recommended for anybody that enjoyes roguelike deckbuilders and doesn't mind a bit of dice-roll based rng.
