Comrades! if you are experiencing lags or unstable fps, head over Nexus mod and searching for DAH2 fixes & improvements (https://www.nexusmods.com/destroyallhumans2reprobed/mods/17) It does helped on my case.

This game is currently in the Humble Choice for February 2024, this is part of my coverage of the bundle. If you are interested in the game and it's before March 5th, 2024, consider picking up the game as part of the current monthly bundle. Updating a PS2 game for modern audiences, kind of. Destroy All Humans 2! Reprobed is the follow-up to the Destroy All Humans Remake from Humble Choice April 2022, and it feels almost similar in quality. Take a PlayStation 2 game, update the visuals and graphics, and attempt to retain what made the original stand out such as voice acting. The experience here is good and delivers on the sequel. While it’s not a completely different experience it still delivered a game for players that wanted a second helping of this franchise. Still, when I say modernized the game, there are limitations, the game still has the old fade out at the end of missions, some of the gameplay elements are a little static, and there’s an older feeling to the game. Now I love Playstation 2, it’s what I’m spending a lot of time playing currently, but if players don’t have a love for that era in gaming, this is going to feel quite rough. Also Destroy All Humans 2 was not as great as the original, so in that way, it’s a bit of a step down. Pick this up if you like the original Destroy All Humans, especially the remake, and want more. I think they did a better job with the remake here, but the original sequel was a touch weaker, so it evens out. The humor also feels a little dated, not cringy necessarily, but I don’t know the last time I heard or thought about hippies from the 60s. It’s just not a reference that's common in 2024. Do NOT buy this game if you do not have a high performance PC The optimization in this game is horrible which makes it impossible to play on older systems. I am running a 3070 TI and it is still hard for me to crack 60+ frames on normal settings. I never played the original but I enjoyed Destroy All Humans 1 Remastered so I decided to pick this one up. The games are pretty similar, not much has changed from the previous title game play wise. If you enjoyed the last game, you will probably enjoy this one too. Same gun fights, saucer mechanics, etc. My main complaint besides the poor optimization is the cringe voice acting. Some of the characters are very hard to listen to, especially in the first zone. I would pick this game up on sale.

Didn't enjoy it as much as the first DaH, but then again I felt the same with the originals as a kid. Story missions feel a lot more boring and there was a lot more annoying missions (looking at you escort/protect Natalya and Kojira fight) Also I just enjoyed that the first one had a lot more Crypto & Pox back and forth and I miss Crypto 137's unbridled rage against humanity rather than 138's slightly more forgiving nature. All that said though I did stil enjoy it and I do hope Path of the Furon gets a remake. Who knows maybe a new story.

Developers should take note, this is how you properly remake a game. The DaH franchise was one of my favorites as a kid. Playing the remakes will never recapture the feeling I had as a kid, but they are still well made. DaH 2 looks beautiful, runs well, and is just as fun as I remember nearly 20 years ago.
