It has muddy unresponsive controls. Please do something, I picked up Xeno Tilt at the same time and it feels great. This plays like an unmaintained bar room table. I thought it was me at first but after playing both of them, this game definitely has some wonky paddles. Some kind of delay ...I cant put my finger on it but you smash the button and the paddle hits right after the ball slips through.
Demons Tilt stands as a clever reinvention of the classic digital pinball genre, clearly inspired by one of my favorite titles Devils Crush originally released by Naxat on the Turbo Grafx 16/PC Engine. This modernized homage is developed by WIZNWAR, the game distinguishes itself through its haunting aesthetic, characterized by intricate neon pixel art and a pulse-pounding synth-wave soundtrack that intensifies with every successful combo. It ditches the traditional, grounded physics of a classic machine for a chaotic, occult-infused experience that feels more like a "Cave" gothic bullet hell shooter than a casual pinball arcade game. While the primary objective remains centered on racking up high scores through precise flipper control and combos, the inclusion of screen-filling bosses and multifaceted table missions elevates the experience beyond your basic standard fare. While the learning curve is admittedly steep due to the layout of the table and some visual clutter causing you to occasionally lose track of things, I still think it is a very well designed game that they just do not sadly make anymore, Demons Tilt succeeds as both a nostalgic homage and a modern evolution. Whether you are a pinball purist or classic arcade fan, Demons Tilt is an excellent title for enthusiasts of this genre, offering a challenging and visually interesting tribute to the pinball cabinets of yesteryear.
The table itself is superb - beautifully constructed, the ball physics are tight and predictable, flipper placement is well thought out and aesthetically the whole game is on point (the ball launch music reminds me of Hang On's "attract mode" theme). Demon's Tilt is a great game, overpriced but nonetheless great. I'd honestly say pick this up on sale because there's simply not enough content to justify the regular price tag. I'm recommending it based on the quality of the included content, it's unquestionably addictive.
Oh! How this game brings me back to the days when 3D Pinball Space Cadet was the thing to play on your computer... 🥰 Game can seems a little overprice for only one table (bought it 50% off), but oh boy you can pass a lot of time on this game! Instead of scrolling on your phone, why not start this pinball game on Steam (Deck), and beat the heck of these Demons on the table? I love the fact that the table "attack" you, and that tilt actually makes a difference in this game. It really gives another breath to the genra, and stimulate your willingness to go for this SUPER JACKPOT If they can change the way we play with multi-ball (focus on the entirr table instead of one table), this game would be gorgeous!
