It's fun, but the tutorial is very unfriendly, so I recommend watching a Youtube video instead (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GiHMadFbAxw). After that, you get a grasp of how to do things, but every time it's too easy once you handle the alcohol abuse issue, so after playing for ~10 hours I got bored of it. So, while it's a good game, keep in mind that the play time isn't long.

good game, small problem is everytime my economy reaches even a photon of light, like, 3 flash crashes hit it and it goes bye but other than that, gud gaem

In Democracy 3 you can take a country from a green, egalitarian, socialist utopia free of crime, poverty, or inequality where all drugs are legal and everyone receives a free education alongside all other conceivable social and financial benefits and turn it into a polluted police state choking on the pervasive, rampant greed of overzealous capitalists where the consequence for not attending church or stealing a pack of gum is the death penalty within the span of a few months or years...only to be assassinated by an angry farmer with a shotgun for not subsidizing enough corn fields while you were deciding whether or not to give everyone free bus passes. Is it the most realistic simulation of politics there is? Certainly not. Is it fun? Yes.

Fun time-waster. Many different policies to choose to implement (or not!), sometimes with unexpected/unintended results! Many contemporary issues are included to be addressed."Extremists" DLC not recommended for beginners. The only gripe I have is the poor choice of cabinet members (tho what else can you expect, they're politicians!).

Decent enough game. I did get slightly bored after 4-5 hours of playing it. I like the idea of it, but the mechanics could be a bit better. I feel like it's a bit too black-and-white when it comes to ideology and that there is not enough room to manoeuvre around and build more coalition style of governments. It's very all-or-nothing kind of 2-party-system. If you are interested in politics, this game can be fun, but I would only recommend it at a discounted price.
