Let's be clear--while the game is tagged with nudity and sexual content, there actually is none! I am not a fan of developers false advertising to sell a game. I feel like they are taking advantage of my loneliness. This kind of deception is sadder than me. I leave a thumbs up simply because I did enjoy the game, despite having bought it for a completely different reason.

Stress goes brrrrr, trying to match and keep that combo streak with some nice songs and a japanese voice behind you. The game is simple and good with different ways to dress different girls, so why not for half a penny?

Do you need a generic full-RNG Mahjong Solitaire that is too safe to be horny, but too horny to be safe? When the first game came out it attracted extremely more attention in gamedev and gaming circles, than such a simple low-effort “casual” game should. I frankly do not remember what was happening 10 years ago around it, so i cannot explain it. It doesn’t even have a wiki page but it deserves one. So, what is this thing? It’s a horny-bait “casual” mahjong solitaire game. The practice of combining simple games with horny pictures as a reward exists since the first games with graphics have appeared. But that’s the thing, this games doesn’t contain a single honestly naked picture. There’s only one picture of a naked girl with a full frontal weeaboo soap foam censorship, and there are several very suggestive pictures. Otherwise the girls often get even more clothed than when you start. On Steam flooded with horny VNs this can offer literally nothing. Yet, at the same time, because of the aforementioned pictures the game is too horny to be socially acceptable as just a mahjong solitaire game. And not just because of the pictures, but because of the sound design too. Mahjong solitaire is a solitaire game with very not-obvious weird rules, and with confusing game pieces. Instead of the european playing cards simplified to be as readable as it can be, mahjong uses pieces with more elaborate pictures on them, and even the simple numbered ones instead of suits and colours, are split between noisy circles, noisy rectangles, and literal hieroglyphic numbers, with an additional hieroglyph under it. Then there are “picture” pieces which just use hieroglyphs. And of course each manufacturer uses different fonts which entirely change the appearance of the pieces, to the point where they become unrecognizable if you are not a native with at least 15 years of experience. This game turns the green dragon into a triangle, entirely skews 萬, and has petal, peacock, maple leaf, and an owl, instead of mahjong tiles. The western playing cards can have different designs but they are always marked with a № and a suit in the corner. Unlike the card solitaires, the Mahjong solitaire also makes the field hard to read. You see all these pieces face up, not covered by anything, but you cannot interact with them. Young people live their lives born into the dead internet filled with AI slop, where they can instantly find the rules of the game, but just 20 years ago the internet was only for the ultra-rich, was small, and most of the information was hidden. I remember struggling to grasp the rules for years when i was still young. This version of mahjong solitaire is fully random, you can easily get a field with literally only one match. No reshuffles. Often the fields will end with the last two matches being mutually interlocked. So it’s all just a matter of luck, instead of a matter of skill. Solitaire started as literally a self-scam to read the future. But when the humanity on average became smarter than that, more people started to enjoy the genre as a game, so it’s not unreasonable to demand from a game to be a game of skill, instead of a game of luck. Especially when this one has clear progression, a limited number of levels, and the end-result. There’s also the tracking of point, but who younger than 70 (and in healthy mind) would care about points. This game is basically what it says on the tin. It’s a mahjong solitaire too horny to be normal but not horny enough to be horny. As a mahjong engine it’s mediocre. If you want a mahjong solitaire game to mahjong solitaire it until completion it is a mahjong solitaire game. But here’s the interesting part. Why is this thing so weird? There is a medicaments-related company in nihon. And for some reason it decided to also make games. Besides making some under their own name, people say that several other daughter companies were created to peddle horny VNs. And that’s the answer. The first release that started the series also created a new paradigm. They just recycle the sprites and sounds from the games of the (allegedly) daughter companies. I haven’t played any for research, but even if the outfits are created exclusively for this game and are not featured in the originals, that’s still some preproduction already being done before a new game was even started. But if this is as cost-cutting as early disney forcing their artists to copy-paste the animation sequences from earlier films (meaning saving literally no money, while resulting in something needlessly weird), i can only guess that they did it for fun. So after some research i’ve found all of these characters. And some of these games ended up being sold on Steam in the end. If you enjoy Mahjong, and you like Anime, then you'll like this release. This one is not hentai...I think that would have made it better, but hey it's still fun. Playing some Mahjong and being rewarded with some pretty girl art...it's win win for me.

An Aesthetic Challenge If you aren't comfortable with losing do not play this game. Not all rounds you start can be won just like a game of Solitaire or other old style games. You can restart that specific round as many times as needed until you've made it through to the end though so it is forgiving. It's a great game to work on cognitive speed and problem solving though since it makes you think fast and strategically pick up the pieces. Some games that are winnable will be lost if you're too slow or pick up the pieces in a bad order. This is NOT a hentai or NSFW style game. Some of their costumes are questionable, but for the most part the girls are just there for aesthetic purposes, and if you ever hope to complete the game you better focus on the tiles. There is no point in the game that allows you to interact or anything of the sort with the girls, they're just decoration, and that's fine, the game is what it needs to be. Pros: + Challenging, but not punishing + Satisfying to overcome + Aesthetic with choice of 2D or 3D tile graphics + If you need to close the game it will let you start on the round you left off on Cons: - markets itself like NSFW/hentai games - Would be nice to have an in-game art book to flip through the outfits you've earned - After outfits are earned you can't put them in that outfit - The returning screen is confusing to continue from the last played round, needs better wording
