Oh, so you play Deemo? How about playing the real piano? Nah, Deemo is easier, though it really makes you feel like you are a pianist. Deemo fan from the very first Android release here A decent remake of a lovely, melancholic and, in some way, unique rhythm game. It surely feels different, but at the same time, it's the same old Deemo. Now, what's the difference from the original? - You get a comfortable adaptation of the vertical touch-controlled beatmap the original game had, which has the same flexibility (you can do slides with space, or you can tap each note separately) BUT if you see old beatmaps and think you will nail your favorite songs from the first try here, NO YOU DON'T. You need to spend a few hours adapting your brain to the keybindings. And it will resist... (btw probably it's easier to play in VR mode, but I am yet to try) - Kinda okay 3D graphics BUT they could've made the girl a bit prettier... Also, seems like the overall vibe of original 2d graphics is completely lost - Puzzle part of the game is much much larger and rich BUT there are too many. I came here to break my fingers, not my brain - NO VK SONGS!!!! There is no "BUT", it just sucks. I know there was an incident, but still, it sucks. - The story (at the moment of the review, I have 16m tall tree) seems absolutely the same BUT there are some very obvious hints, that destroy the intrigue of what's going on. Like that atmosphere of mystery is lost Overall, it's not perfect, but it will still leave you satisfied, whether you are new to Deemo or not. Recommended!

This was THE game i always played during middle school up to high school and i replayed it many times and... the amount of love and nostalgia just playing dream for the first time after a few years from not hearing this game is just so breathtaking. I understand this game may NOT be the game it is like on mobile especially with some of the songs not being included in this game like "Reflection", "Wings of Piano", "Evolution Era" and some others, it is saddening and would hope maybe it would be included someday but that'll be okay. As this game is deeply embedded in my life and heart and I absolutely just love the story and how the songs are in this game. It has so much beauty and I would absolutely LOVE to just stay around the art of Deemo. p.s - $25 is criminal (not including the dlc's) but i still love this game

Played DEEMO for the rhythm game, ended up for the story. Because DEEMO combines both a classic rhythm game with a charming story about a little girl lost in a strange dream-like world. I won't go into too much detail, but even though I rarely enjoy stories like that, DEEMO managed to keep my interest to the very end. One of the reasons I was so engaged is the overall presentation of the game. The dream-like music-themed environments, mysterious characters, and fun, clever, but not too difficult puzzles. Even smaller things, like the pop-up book covers for all the songs. I was honestly fascinated all the way through. The core rhythm gameplay is your standard six lane button play with several difficulty levels for dozens of available songs. DEEMO consists mostly of piano tracks, both calm and faster ones, but there are some electronic tracks as well. Really good selection, to the point I ended up listening to the game's soundtrack alone at times. The other part of the game is the puzzle/adventure, where you control the girl through various locations, interact with the environment, solve puzzles often related to music, find secrets and such. It's a really nice blend of two genres which work surprisingly well, especially with the overall theme. I would say DEEMO is a beautiful game as a whole. As an experience. It was calming at times, sometimes funny, mysterious and engaging during other parts. I strongly recommend checking it out if you're interested in rhythm games, adventure/puzzle games, or both.
