Spear gun shark survival while collecting treasure. Graphics are beautiful and game play is smooth. I found myself very immersed in the environment because of how beautiful the game is. Alot of people are hating on it because of ai or something but in my opinion this games better than %90 of games that have come out in the past couple years. Grab it and give it a try before you listen to these weirdos crying about ai. Try the game out its $7 on sale. If you dont like it you can easily refund it. People just love to cry because they need attention. Welcome to the internet.

Just finished the main campaign after five and a half hours. My thoughts: the graphics and sound design are great, as I diver I can confirm this game really nails the underwater feeling better than any other I played. Animations on all the creatures you meet are very well done. It's worth it for these reasons alone. The gameplay is a little bare-boned; you shoot waves of sharks (ok, ocassionally other things) while hunting for treasure chests. That's basically it. All in all I had a good time in DitW2 and would recommend it, if you can get it at a discount.

Cautiously recommended, very frustrating and difficult in the last few levels. It is a shame, because this game has moments of brilliance. However, for every 1 moment of awesomeness, there are 3 around the corner that will make you want to scream, smash your keyboard, and pull your hair out. + The atmosphere and underwater ambience feels real. The game graphics and the way the fish swim around underwater is realistic and impressive. You feel as if the sharks have a brain and are alive. + Some battles will make you walk the tightrope of being tense and fun VS. straight up rage inducing. + Level design and general layout of everything is great, the underwater world is well built. - Your character moves too slow. - The later levels are approximately 15-20 minutes long, and if a siren spawns behind you for a cheap kill, yeah everything you did in the past 15-20 minutes is lost. And this happens too often. - The boss fight on the very last level is super frustrating and difficult. - Not nearly enough health kits on the final levels. - Upgrading your weapons doesn't really seem to do anything. A fully upgraded character doesn't feel any better than a new character. Its random luck on where you hit the sharks in the moment that counts, and they can wiggle and move in the last second to screw everything up. Sometimes, even if you hit 2 different sharks in the same spot, one will die and another will take 6 harpoons to the face and still be swimming around. - The on screen HUD should be removable or more realistic. The stark white numbers, points, weapon diagrams all over the screen break the immersion of the game. Checking oxygen levels by looking down at a watch or instrument would be more realistic than a cheesy white diagram of an oxygen tank on the corner of the screen constantly. Overall 6 / 10 If the developers put more effort into balancing the difficulty (or provide difficulty options), as well as making the game have more of a story and less of an arcade feel (remove the point system), they would have a quality hit game on their hands.

Absolutely gorgeous game, the creature AI is phenomenal, the sound effects are amazing and i was super pleased to actually hear myself bump into the floor and rocks. The only thing i'm disappointed with, as an artist myself, is the use of generative AI. Apart from that, this game is great and terrifying :D

The game is essentially a wave based survival game with a "campaign" tacked on as you move from 1 arena to the next. Because of that, the general gameplay is rather simple, but it's serviceable. The combat feels satisfying and you'll have to line up your shots correctly to hit the weakspots of the enemies. The game also has a surival mode in which you try and see how long you can survive increasing waves of enemies. and a free roam, where you can swim around the map of the campaign, without the waves nor the enemies being aggroed at you What the game does really great is the atmosphere of the underwater, the enviroments overall look great, you movement and the behaviour of the enemies feel believeable and further helps you immersive yourself into the game. If you want a short simple game that has a good atmosphere, it's worth picking up.
