Fun to coop. If you've ever had a banquet microwave meal meant for children it may be tempting to skip the horrible corn that tastes like plastic and eat the nuggets and brownie first. This is wrong, all real men finish the corn, then the fries, then the nuggets, then the spongy brownie. This game is the same way. It may be tempting to skip to dying light, an objectively better game, but all real men will eat the corn that is dead island and dead island riptide.

Review of Dead Island Riptide (Rating: 6/10) Dead Island Riptide is the sequel to the popular action-survival game set in a tropical resort overrun by zombies. While the first game won the hearts of many players, Riptide doesn't quite surpass its predecessor, offering an average experience that will only satisfy those who are truly nostalgic for a more traditional zombie apocalypse gameplay. Graphics and World: The graphics haven’t changed much compared to the first game. The beautiful landscapes of tropical islands and details like water reflecting sunlight can make a good first impression, but after several hours of gameplay, they start to feel unoriginal. The game world feels somewhat closed off, and the lack of major environmental changes makes it start to feel monotonous over time. Gameplay: In terms of gameplay, Riptide sticks to the classic formula players know from the previous installment: zombie combat, looting, crafting, and exploration. Unfortunately, it doesn't introduce anything new or fresh to the genre. While there is still enjoyment in fighting off hordes of the undead and experimenting with weapons, the combat mechanics can feel stiff, and the control system sometimes makes fighting frustrating. Instead of providing a sense of satisfaction, the combat starts to feel repetitive after a while. Story: The story of Riptide isn't something that will stick in players' minds for long. Similar to the first game, the narrative revolves around a group of survivors trying to stay alive in a world overrun by zombies. Although there are moments of tension, the overall story is quite predictable, and the characters aren’t developed enough to elicit strong emotions. The dialogues and writing are mediocre, and player choices have minimal impact on the plot. Co-op Mode: One of the strongest points of Dead Island Riptide is its co-op mode, which allows players to experience the zombie apocalypse together with friends. While this can be a lot of fun, the mode doesn’t make up for the game’s main flaws—it doesn’t elevate the game beyond being just an average experience. Technical Issues: The game also suffers from some technical issues. Occasionally, players might encounter bugs, glitches, and AI problems that can disrupt the gameplay. While not game-breaking, these can be annoying during long play sessions. Conclusion: Dead Island Riptide is a game that doesn’t evolve much compared to its predecessor. While it can still be engaging, especially in co-op mode, it’s a title that doesn’t offer anything revolutionary or fresh to the genre. It will definitely appeal to fans of the first game, but those seeking a deeper zombie-themed experience might feel disappointed. Rating: 6/10 – A solid sequel, but too repetitive and lacking in innovation to deserve a higher score.

An enjoyable zombies game and a nice continuation of the previous one Dead Island Riptide is nice on its own and also as a continuation of the first game in the series. The story is good and there are new varieties of weapons, boats (they are all the same), lots of collectables and more islands to explore. It's a must-have for those who loved the first one. Story: It's a continuation of the first Dead Island, although you don't actually have to play the first one to understand it because at the beginning of this game, there'll be a quick cutscene telling the main things that happened in the previous game so you can get a context of what is happening. The story on its own is pretty enjoyable too. the scenario: It's beautiful although the first game has better islands and the islands on this one are short. In total you have 6 new areas to explore (not including the submarine) some of them are really small areas, but quite enjoyable, for example, you'll go to a Ferry Station at some point in the game, that Island is very small, but it does have a map and it reminds me the first Island of the previous game. It's an enjoyable place. My opinion on the first Island: I mean I enjoyed but I think it could be better, with more points of interest, but I did enjoyed a lot. Some really beautiful spots on the edges of the island, I really liked the one that It's only reachable by boat, on the top left of the map where you can see the mountains and the sea, really calm and nice place. Things it does better than the first game: 1. A skill for getting up quickly after being knocked out 2. more skills that level up by themselves, for example, you have your character skills just like the first game, but on top of that you also have weapons skills, you can level up those by killing with a specific weapon category: blunt, sharp etc. The more you level up the said category, the more damage and benefits you get while using that kind of weapon. 3. More continuous quests. 4. more XP after completing quests. Overall: if you enjoyed the first Dead Island, please play this one too, It's a continuation of that and the Islands are worth to be played on, It's better with a friend.
