It's fire emblem without permadeath, degrading weapons you have to re-purchase or a letter grade for your performance. It's all the juicy stuff you played that franchise for without the homework. Super fun nod to a classic and a modern rpg in its own right. Give this indie studio your money.

this game pleasantly surprised me. I got it as part of a bundle for the turn based RPG sale and saw it was heavily inspired by the GBA Fire Emblem series. I gave it a chance and got sucked in instantly. If you have ever enjoyed classic fire emblem titles, you will enjoy this game.

It isn't top tier, the story sucks, a lot of the maps are thrown together espeically later ones, but it scratches the itch, the class system is a lot of fun (branchign promoton like fe but the twist is you pick from 4, each has 2 passives and altered growths and you then promote again later on and pick a different 4) and it makes a good multitasking game. Despite my hours here I played this to completion on Deity mode on the switch (being handheld really benefits this game) and even got half way into a reverse recruitment run. And I do think Eternal Order is a masterpiece of a chapter even if its also a difficulty spike and probably the hardest chapter in the game

"Mom, can we have Fire Emblem/Shining Force?" "We have FE/SF at home." I enjoyed it, but the "bonds" got tedious and the story was mostly forgettable. I'm not a story-driven person when it comes to gaming, so take that opinion with a grain of salt. Still a great game for less than $10.

Good game. Really fun characters, straightforward plot, good enough music, nice art, fun gameplay. Classic Fire Emblem for PC. Biggest issue is the bugs, which can be very frustrating at times (crashes, units that are "stuck", among other problems). Still recommend at a discount.
