Not bad! I'll give it 80%. It has a couple confusing things. First, after the first part of the game you get not one map but three. You have to use the tabs on the top left when using the map. Second, alternate matching game for an HO scene. IT's the cards with the starburst behind them that you must pair for an item in the HO to be eliminated. Aside from that, no major issues.

I really like this typical artifex mundi style. The whole game was cool and the story pretty nice. I also like the voice of the protagonist very much. The puzzles were pretty easy though. The game was on expert pretty easy to pass. The characters very pretty nice too, even though i didnt really like the knife thrower. The monkey mechanics were pretty nice, even though its nothing new, its still a very cool feature. The bonus chapter, was pretty small but still a nice conclusion to the story. All in one: really fun. I can highly recommend it.

I believe I played this game back in 2012 or maybe 2013. I had some moments where I went "Oh! I remember that!" and it added to my disbelief that this game is still so good. Great voice acting. There are brand new games (2024) that have terrible voice acting yet a 2012 game voice acting surpasses in quality. Alas, that is not the only thing it can be considered better than most in. The story is really good. It has a good pace, a good ending- doesn't feel forced or rushed. Don't miss the extra chapter! That is one con, the extra chapter is hidden in the Extras menu and it doesn't really give you a notice or pop up after you finish the game that you have unlocked it. The extra chapter also has a good story and some background lore on the main story's happenings. My cons would be that I'd say around 2 or HO scenes were repeated and there were a few items/words that weren't translated properly. It has cloud save, it has achievements, it has trading cards. Again, games that have come out this year (2024) don't even have those things, yet they have a higher price (I've seen some up to $13.99 USD) and also have DLC included for around $2.99 or $3.99 USD to get the full story. This is still a very sold HOG with a solid story, and very entertaining puzzles and scenes. Absolutely recommend it. Don't judge the game on its age, it can still beat a lot of the young HOG in this category.

Another good game from this company. The HOG scenes were a tiny bit repetitive, and I had to use the Hint button more often than some other games because the next step after you'd acquired a particular item wasn't totally obvious. But a spooky, inventive story, with a satisfying ending and bonus chapter. ^-^

Another exceptionally good HOG from Artifex Mundi! Not perfect, but about as close to it as you're likely to get. The plot is light but believable, the hidden object scenes won't make you rip out your hair, and there are NO SLIDING PUZZLES. pros: + extremely logical puzzles + mini-games are challenging, but not impossible + creepy-good environments + map (with location/quest clues in Casual Mode) + music is subtle and not annoying + hidden object scenes are largely clear + no pixel hunting! + no sliding puzzles! + bonus chapter + wallpapers, music, ability to replay HO scenes/Monaco + good length + all animations are skippable + Miles! cons: - some hidden objects are weirdly labelled - almost no replay value - requires a replay to get all achievements - voice acting isn't great Summary: If you are already familiar with hidden object games, feel free to play on Expert to start with; otherwise, play on casual and then replay it on Expert while collecting the Monaco achievements. Gameplay here is solid and the puzzles are logical, as long as you're paying attention to the surrounding clues. The plot is pretty light, but it *is* just an HOG game. That said, the bonus chapter gives great closure, and it's even a little emotional. Ephy Rating: 9/10 "Bad Dates."
